The crowd at Coachella has been branded “disgraceful” and “dead” after footage from Blur’s set on Saturday night went viral.
The British band played a 13-song set at the California music festival, including ’90s classics like Girls & Boys, Popscene and Song 2.
They also brought in the Torres Martinez Cahuilla Bird Singers, a group of tribal singers from the Mojave Desert, where Coachella is held.
However, the audience at their set was not very enthusiastic, and their apathy became evident to the band on stage.
Lead singer Damon Albarn could be seen looking increasingly irritated as he unsuccessfully attempted to interact with the crowd.

For his 1994 hit Girls & Boys, the musician tried to get everyone to sing the chorus several times, but the radio was silent.
Frustrated, he declared that the band would not be returning to the festival, saying, “You’ll never see us again, so you might as well sing it.”
Clips of the touching moment soon circulated on social media, with many fans criticizing the Coachella crowd for having the “worst vibes” and declaring that they “didn’t deserve to be graced by the presence of blur.”
They wrote: ‘These Coachella people do NOT deserve this blurry setlist you’re joking about; Lord, please take away all my suffering and give it to the blurry crowd at Coachella; Why does everyone at Coachella want Blur to die? “The crowd blur at Coachella was so embarrassing, Damon, I’m so sorry I wasn’t there.”
‘America, you don’t deserve Damon Albarn, you don’t deserve Blur. I will burn you to the ground; I should be at Coachella watching Blur and definitely performing back to back and not these kids…they don’t get it; Coachella, you don’t deserve to be thanked for having blurry images.

They wrote: ‘Blur, you better come to Glasto.’ We are waiting!! “I think we need more Blur shows in the UK just to show Coachella what a proper audience looks like.”
‘I should have done a British festival. Coachella seems dead.; So hyper obsessed with blur it’s disgusting. I should have been there. It would have given them the best crowd ever. “That audience didn’t deserve that set list.”

Alex said: ‘This was a wonderful opportunity, it’s the biggest festival on the planet. “If I wasn’t here, I would have FOMO to be honest.”
When asked how they thought the public would react, Damon admitted, “I have no idea what it’s going to be like.” Coachella is weird when it comes to audiences.
“Sometimes it’s hard to tell, because they, the audience, are a little bit on their own planet.”
