- Joel Cauchi identified as Bondi Junction killer
- He had profiles on several escort websites.
Bondi Junction Westfield killer Joel Cauchi had profiles on several escort websites, where he offered services to both men and women.
Cauchi, 40, was shot dead after fatally stabbing six people and injuring a dozen others, including a 9-month-old baby, in Sydney’s eastern shopping center on Saturday afternoon.
He was schizophrenic and police are treating the horrific attack as a mental health issue.
Now, new details are beginning to emerge about Cauchi’s life and movements before the devastating mass murder.
Cauchi, who is from Queensland but moved to Sydney in recent months, has been listed on several male escort websites including Australia Cracker, Empire Escorts and Escorts Australia.
All websites allow users to upload their own photographs and request their own sexual services.
Bondi Junction Westfield killer Joel Cauchi had profiles on several escort websites, where he offered services to both men and women.
In his biography, Cauchi described himself as an “athletic and attractive 39-year-old man” who lives in Sydney and was looking for “a fun time.”
He offered dozens of “closed-door services” that are too graphic to publish.
The profiles, which were created around June 2023, were visible on the websites on Sunday morning but were later removed.
The revelation comes as new footage emerges showing Cauchi buying his last meal, a red curry chicken, at Bondi Junction’s Saigon Noodle at around 12.22pm on Saturday, just three hours before his stabbing.
Images obtained by The Australian shows Cauchi handing money to a teller as she gives him a table number, before he leaves and takes a seat in the restaurant.
Queensland health authorities also revealed Cauchi was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2000, the year he graduated from Harristown State High School.
