The famous plastic surgeon behind the Kardashian family has issued a reality check to people hoping to achieve A-list celebrity looks through surgery.
appearing in Face with Alex Pike In the podcast, Dr. Garth Fisher said that social media platforms like Instagram have given people a twisted sense of beauty.
“Instagram came along and then you see all these filters and it’s just not realistic,” she explained.
“And you can’t capitalize on that and say, ‘I’m going to make you look like this filter,’ it’s just not going to happen.”
Dr. Fisher emphasized the importance of informing potential patients that they will not be able to achieve a social media-filtered aesthetic in real life.

Appearing on The Face with Alex Pike podcast, Dr Garth Fisher (pictured) said social media platforms like Instagram have given people a twisted sense of beauty.
“Instagram came along and then you see all these filters and it’s just not realistic,” she explained to host Alex Pike.
Dr. Fisher is widely known for performing Kris Jenner’s facelift on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“It is our responsibility to dictate what is necessary, what is appropriate and what the possibilities are and to be honest with our patients.”
The burly surgeon also said he has no problem turning patients away if he can’t offer them what they’re looking for.
“There are different ideas about what patients want and if I don’t reflect that and I don’t think I can – or want to – offer them what they want, I just remove myself from the picture,” he shared.
“I like it discreet: I don’t want people to look like they’ve had plastic surgery.”
Dr. Fisher is one of Hollywood’s leading plastic surgeons and was once dubbed “The Enhancer” in Vanity Fair magazine.
He is widely known for performing the ultimate Kris Jenner facelift on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The board-certified surgeon also performed Kourtney Kardashian’s breast augmentation and removed a tumor from Khloe’s face.

Khloe Kardashian was ridiculed in 2020 after posting what appeared to be a highly photoshopped selfie on Instagram.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans were shocked by the star’s unfiltered look in an episode of the hit series.
He even gave Caitlyn Jenner a pre-transition facelift, which also appeared on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“Garth Fisher is a genius,” Jenner said after the procedure. ‘No one really knows they had done anything to me!’
Dr. Fisher also helped actress and reality star Lisa Rinna achieve more natural pouts after undergoing permanent silicone lip fillers in the late 1980s.
Early in his career, Dr. Fisher was Hugh Hefner’s go-to surgeon and often performed breast augmentations on many Playboy magazine models, centerfolds and bunnies.
Despite the Kardashian family’s gorgeous looks, reality TV stars have sometimes been accused of using filters on their social media photos.
In 2016, the Good American founder openly admitted to using editing tools to enhance some of her photos on social media.
Kris Jenner has also been criticized by fans on social media for apparently leaking some of her photos.
Pop queen Madonna is another notorious airbrush, and fans often criticize the singer for her heavily edited Instagram photos.

Khloe was ridiculed in 2020 after posting what appeared to be a highly photoshopped selfie on Instagram.
In 2016, the Good American founder openly admitted to using editing tools to enhance some of her photos on social media.
“Of course I believe in airbrushing, I just think of airbrushing, like who doesn’t want to touch up something here or there,” he told People magazine.
‘I love FaceTune, that’s great. I don’t really know many others, but a filter, that’s like airbrushing. Who doesn’t like a good filter? Sometimes you have a bad day.
In February, Khloe was sensationally accused of FaceTuning her Russian Blue cat after fans noticed changes in the feline’s features.
The star, 39, who, along with her famous family, has been caught editing photos before, posted a photo of her pet Gray Kitty to mark Valentine’s Day, but her followers were quick to point out the cat’s “fuzzy” whiskers and his different eye color.
One fan wrote: “Not even pets are safe” and then wrote: “Even the cat did his job.”

Last year, airbrushing app FaceTune criticized Kim and her sister Kylie Jenner by commenting on one of their photos, writing, “Can you tag me please lol?”
Other reality stars who have been accused of editing their photos include Patti Stanger and Sister Wives star Meri Brown.
Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton of ’90s group Salt-N-Pepa was also accused of editing some of her recent selfies.
In one image, the 57-year-old’s face had a blurry glow that seemed to mask some of her naturally beautiful features.
‘Too many filters… smh. You can barely see his nose,’ one fan commented.
They almost completely erased his nose from the image. She’s beautiful but you’re going crazy with the editing!’ wrote another.
