Harry Kane was seen reporting for England duty on Tuesday afternoon, as the England captain continues to deal with an ankle injury.

During Bayern Munich’s 5-2 win at Darmstadt on Saturday, the Three Lions captain was injured after hitting the goal post during the match.

Two days later, the 30-year-old had a scan on his ankle and has since joined his international team-mates at St George’s Park.

England will play friendlies against Brazil and Belgium, before warm-up matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland in June, but it is not yet clear what Kane’s involvement will be.

They will then begin their next UEFA Nations League campaign with matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland in September.

Speaking at the time, Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund said: “He will be examined in England. There he trusted the doctors. We are in close coordination on this. Harry will not will take no risks.

Bayern said in a statement: “The striker is still on international duty and will be treated there by the team doctors, in close consultation with Bayern’s medical department.”

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel said: “He collided with the post and twisted his ankle a little – he had a frozen ankle. There is still no diagnosis, we have to wait .I hope it’s nothing serious.

England manager Gareth Southgate has seen his squad depleted by injuries and will have his fingers crossed that he can at least call on his captain.

The matches against Brazil on Saturday and Belgium are the final opportunities for Southgate to assess his players before naming his squad for this summer’s European Championship in Germany.

Kane, England’s all-time top scorer with 62 goals, scored his 31st goal of the Bundesliga season on Saturday.

Earlier on Tuesday, Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo received his first ever senior England call-up ahead of their upcoming friendlies.

The 18-year-old was initially part of the Under-21 squad but has been drafted into Gareth Southgate’s squad for their matches later this month.

The remaining 25 players reported to St. George’s Park on Tuesday ahead of upcoming international matches against Brazil and Belgium.

United midfielder Mainoo has previously represented England from U17 to U19 level – but is yet to be capped at U20 or U21 level.
