Brett Favre launched a furious attack on Joe Biden after the president called Donald Trump’s supporters “trash.”
Biden eclipsed Kamala Harris’ campaign “closing” speech with a surprising outburst that evoked memories of Hillary Clinton’s infamous “deplorables” comment in 2016.
The president’s comments came after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe compared Puerto Rico to a “floating island of garbage” at a Trump rally in New York.
On Wednesday, former Packers quarterback Favre campaigned for Trump at a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
“I can assure you we’re not trash,” Favre said. ‘How dare you say that?’
Brett Favre criticized US President Joe Biden’s ‘trash’ outburst at Donald Trump rally
‘I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students. “I see everyday Americans making this country great,” he continued as the crowd applauded in agreement.
“There has never been a more important moment in our lives than now in this election,” his prelude continued.
“There is a lot at stake,” he said in his speech. ‘Families across Wisconsin are struggling to make ends meet. People’s salaries have not kept pace with inflation. It is increasingly difficult for young people to buy their first home. “People are losing hope in the American dream.”
Favre cited the 50 fentanyl overdoses in Brown County, Wisconsin, last year, saying it wasn’t just “about money.” He also emphasized how the younger generation “faces the prospect of a Third World War.”
‘We’ve already had President Trump once; We have already seen Kamala in action. We can compare and we know which is better,” Favre continued. ‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results… It would be crazy to give Kamala four more years in office. So it’s time to bench Kamala and put the star quarterback on.

The Republican presidential candidate kept up the stunt during the rally in Green Bay.
‘The United States is a great country. But we all know this: Kamala broke it. “Trump will fix it,” Favre added. ‘I’ve lived the American dream, but I want to make sure future generations live it too. So remember this: Let’s make America great again.”
After his comments, Trump showed his gratitude to Favre for singing his praises.
‘Thank you, Brett. What a great honor! What a great champion,’ Trump said shortly after taking the stage at the Resch Center. Trump also compared Favre’s fingers to “sausages” and said, “No wonder he could throw the ball.”
“I’m a little upset because I think he got more applause than me, and I’m not happy,” the former president said, joking about the ovation Favre received in a county Trump narrowly won in 2020.
Favre, who won three NFL MVP awards and a Super Bowl for Green Bay in the 1990s, praised Trump before the former president arrived, telling the crowd: “Just like the Packer organization, “Donald Trump and his organization were a winner.”
Favre’s statements received a standing ovation, the NFL legend was also praised by Trump himself.
Favre played for the Green Bay Packers from 1992 to 2007 and won a Super Bowl title in 1997.
“The United States of America won with his leadership,” Favre said.
Favre, a longtime supporter of Trump and other Republicans, spent most of his career with the Green Bay Packers, winning the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award three times and one Super Bowl. But the Pro Football Hall of Famer has been in the news lately for a welfare scandal in his home state of Mississippi.
Favre has posted and reposted messages on social media supporting Trump and criticizing Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate.
“In all the elections I’ve seen in my life, I’ve never seen one where there was so much hate,” Favre posted Monday on X. “It’s certainly sad to see.”
