Melania Trump has shared her top parenting advice, reminding moms and dads to take the time to “heal” themselves so they don’t pass on their “issues or traumas” to their children.
The former First Lady and mother of one, 54, appeared on Fox & Friends on Tuesday morning to talk about her new memoir, Melania, which hit stands earlier this month.
During the interview, she was asked to share any “words of wisdom” she might have for “young moms.” who are working hard to raising children in such a challenging society,” and gave some poignant advice.
The former model, who shares son Barron Trump, 18, with husband Donald Trump, said parents should always “lead with love” and look at each child as an “individual.”
‘Lead with love and take the child as an individual. We are all different,’ he encouraged. ‘Be careful and be very affectionate.’

Melania also emphasized the importance of taking time for yourself if you’re struggling as a parent.
“Also make sure that you, as a mother, are healed so as not to cause problems and trauma to your child,” she added.
Melania previously spoke about the “incredible amount of strength” and “patience” it takes to raise a child.
‘As a mother, I know what it means to raise a child. “It takes an incredible amount of strength, a lot of time, a generous amount of patience and all of our love,” he said during a Mother’s Day speech in 2018.
‘As mothers, we are incredibly privileged to be able to bring children into this world and be a part of helping them become adults.
‘Due to the powerful bond between a mother and her child, when they feel emotions, so do we; Whether they are happy or nervous, sad or excited, we feel those things with them. “I think it’s one of the most powerful and beautiful parts of motherhood.”
Also during her sit-down with Fox & Friends on Tuesday, Melania addressed people who compare her husband to ‘Adolf Hitler.’
Democrats, including Barack Obama, criticized Trump for holding a rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, which they compared to a Nazi event after many of the speakers made racist and sexist comments.

Melania made a rare appearance at the event, telling the Fox & Friends hosts that she decided to take the stage because she felt the arena was “an amazing place.”
“I love New York City and I think people wanted to hear from me that day,” he said.
“(I love) Madison Square Garden and I also wanted to support my husband, so I was there for him and everyone else.”
