It is alleged that members of the Aragua Train were responsible for the decimation
The homeowner explained how she first became suspicious after hearing many more voices than expected on the property’s doorbell camera.
“I just had a feeling it wasn’t going to be good,” Martiz said.
Upon arriving, she was greeted with an astonishing scene.
“There was alcohol everywhere. We probably easily keep 300 to 400 bottles,” Martiz said.
He added that the occupants had also spit gum throughout the property.
“I mean, I’ve never seen so much gum in my life,” Martiz said. ‘So we scraped gum from my kitchen, from my living room. We have to change all the carpet.’
She has since contacted Airbnb in hopes that the company can help reimburse her for the repairs.
The sheriff’s office is also investigating and confirmed it believes members of the Aragua Train were involved.

Tren de Aragua is a Venezuelan street gang that has operated in the country since approximately 2012.
However, they recently gained notoriety in the US after security camera footage emerged on social media showing a group of heavily armed men brazenly entering an apartment in the Denver suburb of Aurora, Colorado. .
That led former President Donald Trump to vow to “liberate Aurora” from Venezuelans who he falsely claimed were “taking control of the entire city.”
Police have called the reports exaggerated but still acknowledged they are investigating 10 gang members for their involvement in several crimes, including a homicide in July.
Among them is a Venezuelan who was arrested in another Denver suburb and accused of helping another person steal a motorcycle and pointing an AR-15 at a tow truck driver who had asked him to move his car.
Martiz said his suspicions first arose when he heard several voices on his Ring doorbell camera.
The homeowner had to replace the carpet after guests put gum on it.
Martiz said the experience left her feeling ‘violated’ and discouraged her from renting it again.
Another was suspected of stealing sunglasses from designer Gucci in Boulder and has a criminal record in several states, including for auto theft and vehicular assault.
Elsewhere, from the heart of the country to major cities like New York and Chicago, the gang has been blamed for sex trafficking, drug smuggling and police shootings, as well as the exploitation of immigrants.
