New mom Hailey Bieber is choosing to keep her parents away from her son Jack amid her ongoing tensions with the couple, according to sources who say she has long clashed with Stephen and Kennya Baldwin over religious and political beliefs.
The Rhode Beauty founder, 27, gave birth to her first child with husband Justin Bieber, 30, in August, and wWhile many new mothers would appreciate their parents’ help right now, Hailey is determined to keep her distance.
Although her father, 58, celebrated the birth of his grandson with a post on Instagram, which Hailey did not like on her own account, the model’s mother surprised after choosing not to mark the moment on her own social networks .
It highlights Hailey’s strained relationship with her parents, which reportedly began to “break down” even more when the beauty mogul became pregnant.
“Hailey’s relationship with her family has been eroding for some time now,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. “She was closer to her mother, but that started to break down when she got pregnant because she didn’t want to tell her family for months.”

Her father, 58, (pictured with Kennya in 2019) celebrated the birth of his grandson with an Instagram post, which Hailey disliked from her own account.
The source explained that the situation that finally pushed Hailey over the edge was when her father shared a post asking fans to pray for Hailey and Justin, something that sparked concern for the couple.
The Usual Suspects alum reposted a video from Justin’s song, which was shared by All Things Possible Ministries founder Victor Marx and said: ‘Christians, please, when you think of Justin and Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for wisdom, protection and approach the Knight.’
“Hailey had a fight with her family when her father asked for prayers for Hailey and Justin, and she told him she didn’t want him to meddle in her life,” the source said.
‘Stephen told Hailey that she wouldn’t even know Justin if it wasn’t for him introducing her. “Hailey was not happy about this at all.”
Hailey met the Canadian singer while backstage at the NBC show. TODAY in 2009.
“Nice to meet you,” were the first words Hailey said to Justin.
The couple finally started dating in 2015 and rekindled their on-again, off-again romance in 2018, three months after his split from Selena Gomez.
The source claimed that Hailey’s tensions with her family fueled her desire to leave ‘Baldwin’ to become Mrs. Bieber in 2018.
“Hailey’s relationship with her family has been eroding for some time now,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively.
The source continued: ‘When she got pregnant because she didn’t want to tell her family for months’
Hailey is seen far left alongside father Stephen Baldwin, sister Alaia Baldwin and mother Kennya Baldwin in November 2008.
“Hailey has wanted to not be linked to the Baldwin name for years and was more than happy to change her last name to Bieber the moment she and Justin got married,” the source explained.
Hailey recently admitted that she is no longer as close to her family as she used to be.
“I’m not very close to my family at this point in my life,” she said. W Magazine in their special summer issue cover story. ‘Because I feel very independent.
‘Now I am my own individual and I have built my own family. But when I look back at my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond and beautiful memories.”
She said the distance was due to moving out of the family home as a teenager to pursue her modeling career, which forced her to grow up faster.
She signed with Ford Models, at age 17, and moved to New York City.
‘I started traveling the world, earning my own money. “I got my own apartment and had to learn to live on my own,” she said. “That pushed me into adulthood pretty quickly.”
Hailey had maintained a relationship with her mother over the years, but tension reportedly increased because she felt like the “black sheep” of the family compared to her older sister Alaia, now 31.
The source claimed that Hailey also felt like the ‘black sheep’ of the family compared to her older sister Alaia, 31 (pictured together in 2019).
Hailey’s family tensions have also impacted Justin’s relationship with the Baldwins, with the source claiming, ‘Justin doesn’t get along with his family’ (pictured in 2011).
“Hailey doesn’t really go to her mom or sister,” the source said. “She feels that her mother has always preferred Alaia and that she is considered the black sheep.
“It’s almost as if her father, mother and sister are on the same team and she thinks they are against her, so she decides not to partner at this time.”
Another key reason for the deterioration of their family dynamic has a lot to do with differing opinions on political and religious issues.
“Their parents are still married and share the same brain,” the source noted. “His father is a religious fanatic and his mother does what his father tells her.”
Stephen became a born-again Christian after the 9/11 attacks and has been a strong supporter of twice-impeached and four-time impeached former President Donald Trump, even endorsing him in 2016.
This, after the 78-year-old reality star-turned-politician twice fired Baldwin from NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice; first in 2008 and again in 2013.
In 2017, Hailey, who recently supported Kamala Harris, admitted that her father’s political leanings had been a “big problem.” She stated that “her opinions have changed (since)” but did not elaborate.
Stephen and Kennya are staunch evangelicals who are very open about their beliefs online.
Hailey turned red this year when her father reposted a video of Justin and wrote, “Christians, please, when you think of Justin and Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them.”
Since 2001, Stephen has established three ministries and has gone on a series of tours called Assault Tours.
He even produced a documentary DVD called Livin It that featured numerous skaters discussing their relationship with God.
The DVD was something Stephen went to share with Justin the day Hailey met her future husband.
While Justin and Hailey are also open about their Christian beliefs, the couple has turned to worship as part of the controversial organization Churchome, whose lead pastor is Judah Smith.
Employee Rachel Kellogg filed a lawsuit in May of this year claiming that Churchome and its leaders “engaged in a systemic scheme of wage and hour abuse against its employees,” according to The Seattle Times.
In previous years, the couple was linked to the equally controversial Hillsong Church until Justin had a fight with his ex ‘spiritual advisor’, Pastor Carl Lentzwho was later fired in late 2020 for what Brian Houston, the church’s global senior pastor, described as ‘Leadership problems and abuses of trust.in addition to a recent revelation of moral failures’, which Lentz clarified was an extramarital relationship.
Hailey’s family tensions have also affected Justin’s relationship with the Baldwins.
“Justin doesn’t get along with his family and now that they have the baby, things are even more tense,” the source said. “He sees his family like he sees his family: dysfunctional and not looking out for their best interests.”
The two are trying to keep Jack away from their families as much as possible and are adamant about being their own separate family.’
The source explained: “She was closest to her mother, but that started breaking down when she got pregnant because she didn’t want to tell her family for months” (pictured in 2011).
But their determination to face this new chapter alone has proven difficult for the couple, especially now that Justin has to juggle fatherhood with questions about his relationship with Diddy following the rapper’s arrest.
“They claim they don’t need anyone, and Hailey has done a good job of convincing Justin that she’s the only one he needs,” the source said.
“Since the baby was born, their marriage has been affected because it is stressful and neither of them has anyone to turn to for advice.”
To date, Hailey’s parents have not shared any images of them with their newborn grandson.
However, Stephen gushed that baby Jack is “incredibly cute” in an interview last month.
Speaking to People, he said he had been enjoying grandpa chores and hanging out with “my four-year-old granddaughter Iris,” referring to Alaia’s daughter.
He then added: ‘I’m in town to celebrate his fourth birthday… And of course, here comes Jack Blues Bieber.
‘And yeah, he’s just… I don’t want to say too much. It’s incredibly cute.’
