Erik ten Hag has identified where Manchester United need to improve after their draw with Aston Villa.
United drew 0-0 against Villa on Sunday in a largely uneventful match.
After conceding three goals in the defeat against Tottenham and the draw against Porto, Ten Hag will have been pleased that his team managed to keep a clean sheet.
However, the Dutchman feels there are still aspects of his game that United can work on.
United currently sit in 14th place after suffering the worst start to a season in their Premier League history.
Erik ten Hag has revealed where he believes his Manchester United team needs to improve
United drew 0-0 at Aston Villa on Sunday as they continue to struggle to score goals.
Ten Hag has admitted United need to score more goals after failing to find the back of the net again.
So far this season, United have scored just five goals in the Premier League, while teams like Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal already have double figures.
In his post-match press conference, Ten Hag said: “We know that at the moment we are missing goals, in that perspective it is not a good start, we have to take a step forward.” “That’s an area we have to improve.”
Ten Hag stated that Rasmus Hojlund is still not 100% after his injury.
Furthermore, he explained that both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are capable of scoring goals despite their apparent problems at the beginning of the season.
Ten Hag said: ‘That will happen. (There are) more reasons. Sometimes it’s the way. Rasmus Hojlund is barely in the season, he is not 100 (percent) physically fit or ready for the game. And he is our scorer, I would say our best scorer.
“But we also know that others can score goals, like Rashford. But he scored in Porto, he gave a good assist in Porto, today he created two very good chances.
‘I think Garnacho is already a threat all season long, but he also scores and assists. Bruno (Fernandes) has the ability to score goals. So we will get there and we trust the players. One day it will click.’

Furthermore, he stated that Alejandro Garnacho (left) and Marcus Rashford (right) are goal threats.
United’s first game after the international break will see them host Brentford on October 19.
Ten Hag was given a contract extension after winning the FA Cup at the end of last season but will need his team’s form to improve significantly.
Dimitar Berbatov claimed United players should be ashamed after Jonny Evans, 36, was named man of the match against Villa.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Berbatov said: “Everyone on the pitch should be ashamed because Evans is man of the match at 36 years old.
‘The criticism will continue to grow, because United need to win to get the points. They are 14th in the table, which is incredible.
“The only thing that needs to be corrected is to get the points bought, with the way they are playing at the moment, that is going to be difficult to do.”
