The Venice Film Festival has hosted the premieres of some of the world’s greatest films.
However, Richard Gere was only interested in what was happening outside the theatre as he marvelled at his wife Alejandra Silva on the red carpet on Sunday.
The 75-year-old Hollywood star appeared to be overwhelmed by his 41-year-old wife’s beauty and stopped to bow to her as they attended the premiere of Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s new AppleTV+ film Wolfs.
He also couldn’t resist taking Alejandra in his arms to kiss her while they snuggled together.
But Richard didn’t just have fun with his wife, but also with his son Homer, and the two posed together for a series of sweet snapshots on the red carpet.

The actor and his 24-year-old son looked equally dapper as they walked the red carpet at the Filming Italy Venice Award event.
Richard opted for a black tuxedo, white shirt and black bow tie, and Homer matched his outfit.
Meanwhile, Alejandra, who married the star in 2018, dazzled in a white Grecian-style gown with a thigh-high slit.
She later changed into a semi-sheer mesh dress with navy floral detailing as the trio headed to the amfAR gala.
The movie icon and Alejandra tied the knot after two years of dating and later welcomed two sons: Alexander, five, and James, four.
Richard shares Homer with his ex-wife and model Carey Lowell, and decided to name him after his grandfather and the Tibetan name “Jigme”, which is his middle name.
He and Carey married in 2002, but split in 2013 after 11 years of marriage.
The gala, which took place during the Venice Film Festival, was presented by the Red Sea International Film Festival.

Since 1985, amfAR has raised nearly $900 million in support of its programs and awarded more than 3,800 grants to research teams around the world.
Dazzling galas are held there at the Cannes and Venice film festivals.
Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice opened the Venice Film Festival on August 28.
The 81st Venice International Film Festival is organised by the Biennale di Venezia and will take place at the Lido di Venezia from 28 August to 7 September 2024.
In addition to the cast of Beetlejuice, a number of celebrities are expected to arrive in Venice in the coming days.
George Clooney is already in town, alongside his wife Amal, for the debut of his highly anticipated new film Wolfs, the Jon Watts-directed heist thriller that reunites him with his Oceans 11 co-star Brad Pitt.
Both George and Brad were present at the September 1 screening.
Brad’s ex-wife Angelina Jolie will also be in Venice to promote the film Maria, in which she plays opera legend Maria Callas.
Sources say the schedules have been arranged so that the warring couple – who remain embroiled in legal action eight years after splitting up – will not be at the film festival at the same time.
