Caitlin Clark tries to overtake Alyssa Thomas

It wasn’t the first time this season that Caitlin Clark found herself on the end of a brutal defensive job in the WNBA on Wednesday night.

The Indiana Fever hosted the Connecticut Sun, facing players like Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas, and Clark once again broke records in her rookie year.

However, not everything was easy for the Fever phenomenon, as he received a strong body blow and crashed onto the court during the game.

The violent action came from Connecticut center Alyssa Thomas and was ruled a common foul, leaving fans furious and asking why it was not ruled a flagrant foul.

“That’s not basketball,” one wrote on X, while another added: “Low hit with shoulder lean.”

Thomas then brutally beats Clark and knocks him to the ground.

Caitlin Clark attempted to run past Alyssa Thomas, but found herself on the receiving end of a body slam.

Clark has been the victim of flagrant fouls twice this season, and both were against the same opponent, the Chicago Sky.

The first was a check from Chennedy Carter, and the second from Angel Reese, another rookie who has emerged as Clark’s arch rival in his debut season.

Aside from the play that left her lying on the court in Indiana, it was a successful night for Clark and the rest of her Fever teammates.

Aside from the foul, it was a very successful night for Clark, who is taking the league by storm.

The No. 1 overall pick broke the record for 3-pointers made by a WNBA rookie in a single season, sealing her 86th of the year in the first quarter.

The record was previously held by Rhyne Howard and set in 2022, but Clark continues to dominate the league in his first year with the Indiana Fever.

The Fever won the game 84-80, leaving them in seventh place in the WNBA standings with a 15-16 record.
