Kadarius Toney has had some bad luck with his tattoos after being released by the Chiefs on Tuesday.

Karadius Toney has been released by the Kansas City Chiefs as part of their roster cut to the required 53 players.

The wide receiver, who was acquired by KC in a trade with the New York Giants, was released by the Chiefs before Tuesday’s roster deadline.

Toney will forever remember his time with the Chiefs, in part, because he has their logo tattooed on his body.

The wide receiver has a giant KC arrowhead logo with the words “Super Bowl Champion” on his ribcage.

Not only that, but Toney also has the number 89 he wore with the Giants on his back along with the New York City skyline, complete with the Statue of Liberty.

Toney not only has ink from his time in KC, but also from his days with the Giants.

Some fans took the opportunity to poke fun at Toney, joking about his “bad luck” in getting tattoos for his former teams and how it could have “backfired” on him.

“Time to get a McDonald’s logo tattoo,” one Twitter account wrote.

Another wrote: “Time to cover it up,” while another joked: “Next tattoo: ‘Given Up.'”

“Bro, you better save some room for that USFL tattoo,” another account said.

While these accounts were harsh in their assessment of Toney’s ink, there were many who defended the receiver.

“Didn’t that backfire on him? He played for both teams, was drafted by the Giants and won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs, lol,” one story read.

“I mean he won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs and was drafted by the Giants, no big deal,” another wrote.

Another said: ‘I mean, no one can take away his SBs, even when he changes teams.’

“I’m not really sure I regret that…” another user commented. “A tattoo that resembles the team that gave you the opportunity to make your dream come true and a tattoo that represents the team you won two Super Bowls with in a row.”
