Kelly Brook admitted she was “completely devastated” after a tense row with husband Jeremy Parisi on Wednesday’s episode of Celebrity Race Across The World.

The 44-year-old model joined forces with her husband for an epic trip through South America, but a major mishap on their trip sparked a feud between them.

Thanks to a mistake, Kelly and Jeremy found themselves miles behind their famous rivals and ended up stranded in Brazil, without any local currency after spending too much money on a taxi.

Jeremy decided they should take a taxi, but it cost them four vital hours of the race, while Kelly’s decision to take a coastal route also added time.

As she ran down the street looking for a bank to exchange some money, Kelly told Jeremy: ‘Oh my god, that was a terrible decision. You took that taxi and we got stuck.

“If we continue to move forward at this pace, we will continue to make the same mistakes.”

Jeremy replied: “We’re on the same side!”

Kelly said: “I know we’re on the same side, but the fact is we were so desperate to compete and get on the road that now we’re walking around a city we don’t know trying to find a bank.”

The couple eventually found a bus to continue their journey, but only after having missed two previously.

Visibly exhausted after spending the entire night at a bus station, Kelly admitted: ‘It’s 11.19am and we’ve missed two buses so we’re going to try and get the 1pm one and we need to get there now because, honestly, I’m completely knackered.

“We’re literally exhausted. Jeremy and I never argue. And I mean never. And this is testing us.”

Kelly and her husband Jeremy will be up against three other celebrity couples: TV host Jeff Brazier and his youngest son Freddie, radio star Scott Mills and his now-husband Sam Vaughn, and actor Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen.

The duo’s journey began at the gateway to the Amazon in Belém, northern Brazil, and the couples must pass through five checkpoints before reaching the finish line in southern Chile.

She said: “We are literally exhausted. Jeremy and I never argue. And I mean never. And we are really being tested in this regard.”

“Boy, we’re so late,” Kelly gasped. “What did we do wrong? What did we do wrong?”

Although Jeremy hinted that it was down to Kelly’s decision to travel along a coastal road, she admitted: “I think I’m being blamed for this because I wanted to go along the coastal road and the inland was actually the most direct route.”

The star recently recalled how the trip was “the honeymoon from hell” as she reflected on the challenge in an interview.

After mistakenly believing the arduous 12,500km journey across South America would be an alternative honeymoon, Kelly told Closer magazine: ‘We hadn’t had a honeymoon and I said to Jeremy we should look at this as a fun alternative, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“Sometimes it was a honeymoon from hell, and other times it was absolutely glorious. It must be the most memorable honeymoon ever!”

Celebrity Race Across The World continues on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
