A tourist has alleged she was gang-raped for five days after being kidnapped in Pakistan before being dumped on the street with her hands and legs tied.
The 28-year-old woman was found lying on the street in Islamabad, with a picture appearing to show her with her hands tied behind her back and her ankles bound.
She said the men who allegedly gang-raped her threw her out of a vehicle in the city, where she was found by passers-by who called police, local media reported.
The woman, who says she is a Belgian tourist, was taken to hospital and reportedly told police she had been in Pakistan for six months.
Police have since arrested a man and searched his apartment, Pakistani media reported.

After investigators contacted the Belgian Embassy to confirm the woman’s claims that she was a tourist, officials told them they had no records of the woman being in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s security agency, the FIA, echoed this statement, saying it had no trace of the woman having entered its country.
Belgian Embassy officials sent police officers to the Dutch Embassy as the woman’s hometown is said to be close to the Belgian-Dutch border.
But local police investigating the woman’s allegations said they believe she is not a foreigner.
The arrested man also told police that the woman was mentally unwell and did not have any identification documents with her, according to reports.

The woman arrived in Pakistan three weeks earlier, according to police.

In it, the Free Press Journal claimed the woman told police she had been gang-raped by two men who filmed the assault and used it to blackmail her.
“We stayed at a hotel in Fort Monroe where both the suspects gang-raped me and also made a video of the act to blackmail me,” she alleged in the FIR.
She later said one of the suspects threatened her after she went to police.
