Elon Musk’s ex Grimes has spoken out in support of the X CEO’s transgender daughter.
The musician, who dated Musk for years and was the mother of three of his children, made her opinion known on Musk’s platform on Thursday, amid his online war with Vivian Jenna Wilson, 20.
It all started when the Tesla boss claimed in an interview this week that Wilson (formerly Xavier) “was killed by the waking mind virus” generated by mass media.
This prompted a response from Wilson, who also questioned a tweet from her father claiming she was born “gay and slightly autistic.”
In a post on her own page, Grimes (real name Claire Elise Boucher) defiantly declared: “I love Vivian and am eternally proud of her.”

It comes amid Musk’s online war with Vivian Jenna Wilson, 20, whose mother is Musk’s ex-wife Jennifer Justine Musk.
As of Friday morning, the post had been viewed more than three million times and was quickly approaching 100,000 likes.
This also prompted a number of responses, several of which Grimes, 36, openly responded to.
“I’m glad you love Vivian and I know Elon does too,” wrote one viewer who called herself a “retired businesswoman, wife, mother, patriot, fan of X and Elon Musk, (and) lover of the Word of God.”
“Vivian was created in the image of God and she should always be respected,” the commentator continued.
“However, as great as human creativity may be, it is not so great when it comes to changing what God created. And you simply cannot change DNA.”
To this, Grimes quickly responded: “God gave us hands to build cathedrals and rockets to the moon.”
“It is clearly divine to make use of God’s greatest gift to humanity, which is creativity.”
At that moment another person intervened, who announced herself as “Deborah, a follower of Jesus.”
“Not when it comes to the perfect design He has made for our bodies,” she argued. “We’re not supposed to mess with that. And that’s because in the end, and it may take many years, it will ultimately destroy us.”
Musk, 50, said in September 2021 that after three years together, he and Grimes were “semi-estranged” but still “loved each other” and saw each other occasionally. Grimes would officially end her relationship with Musk the following year, ahead of a legal battle between the two.
Her initial post sparked a flurry of responses, several of which Grimes, 36, openly responded to, respectfully addressing the doubts of some religious observers.
To this, the Oblivion singer stated: “I am not a Christian, but I respect our Christian God.”
‘I have Christian friends and sometimes I join them on vacation or listen to their teachings.
“But I don’t share that vision of the world and I also like to change my body with tattoos and things like that,” he added.
‘If we are made in the image of God, and He gave us the ability to change it, beautify it, make it unique, that is also the image of God.
“For me, God is the universe, not only infinite, but infinite possibility,” he concluded.

Grimes would officially end her relationship with Musk the following year, roughly four years after they were first romantically linked.
During that time, they had three children: their son X AE-A-Xii, their daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, and their son Techno Mechanicus, or ‘Tau’.
“If we are made in the image of God, and He gave us the ability to change it, to beautify it, to make it unique, that is also the image of God,” she told a commentator who insisted that God has designs for people’s bodies. “For me, God is the universe, not just infinite, but infinite possibilities,” she said.
Last year, the entertainer sued Musk for parental rights, filing a petition “to establish parental relationship” on Sept. 29 in Francisco Superior Court.
A few days earlier, she addressed the situation and accused Musk of not letting her see one of her children.
“Hey, I’d rather not spice up this current press cycle any more, but I want to reduce the tension,” he wrote in a tweet.
He then took aim at Shivon Zilis, with whom Musk welcomed twins Strider and Azure in November 2021, and reportedly a third child earlier this year.
“I finally had a long overdue talk with Shivon,” Grimes continued. “It wasn’t her fault, please don’t be mad at her! We have so much respect for each other and are excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together.”
The singer concluded by mentioning her youngest son.
“I wish I could show you how cute little Techno is… but my priority right now is keeping my babies out of the public eye.”
The current status of the case, or whether it is still ongoing, remains unclear to this day as all court records related to it have been sealed.
Musk is now romantically involved with Shivon Zilis (left), with whom he welcomed twins Strider and Azure in November 2021, and reportedly a third child earlier this year.
Musk is shown here with his second wife Talulah Riley in 2015 with Xavier, now Vivian, and Griffin.
Last April, it appeared the two were back on good terms, based on an extremely brief exchange on X-rated. Grimes is seen brandishing a sword at the Met Gala in Manhattan in 2021.
However, last April, it seemed the two were back on good terms, judging by an extremely brief exchange that again occurred on Musk’s social media platform.
It all started with Grimes sharing a clip from the video game ‘Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty’, in which a character she voices performs a song on stage in a holographic spiderweb.
“A cool concept for a real-life performance,” Musk wrote in response.
Grimes replied: “True. You could go crazy with projection mapping.”
Meanwhile, the conflict between Musk and his daughter Jennifer Justine Musk – with whom he separated in 2008 after eight years – continues to brew.
She is said to have fathered 12 children in the past 22 years, while publicly preaching her view that the world is underpopulated.
Wilson legally changed her gender to female and her name from ‘Xavier’ to Vivian Jenna Wilson in 2022, though she revealed in court documents that she ‘no longer wishes to be associated’ with Musk ‘in any capacity’.
Vivian filed the petition just three days after her 18th birthday, though the court documents were not made public until the day after Father’s Day.
Musk has fathered 12 children over the past 22 years, all the while publicly preaching his view that the world is depopulated. He has called Vivian a “communist.”
In a tweet posted the night her daughter’s petition was granted, mother Justine said: “I had a strange childhood,” my 18-year-old daughter told me.
“I can’t believe I look as normal as I am.” “I’m so proud of you,” I said. “I’m proud of myself!”
Meanwhile, on Father’s Day, Musk tweeted before his remarks were revealed: “I love all my kids so much.”
