- With 46,326 miles on the clock, it’s headed to a classic car auction in August.
A sports car that appeared in an episode of the much-loved sitcom Absolutely Fabulous is to go up for auction, with experts predicting it could fetch up to £30,000.
The Alfa Romeo convertible was used by Jennifer Saunders’ character Edina in an episode where she is forced to save up and give up her chauffeur-driven car. But instead she buys the red Italian roadster because it was “the smallest car I could find.”
Together, Edina and her best friend Patsy Stone, played by Joanna Lumley, cause chaos in the Alfa Romeo as they drive drunk through the streets of trendy West London on their way to a supermarket.
The car ends up getting caught when they park on the sidewalk right outside Harvey Nichols in the 1994 episode.
The car is now on sale for a guide price of £30,000, 30 years after the episode first aired.
