Wild footage has emerged of a motorist allegedly chasing three men armed with a knife after a terrifying road rage incident.

Video filmed by a surprised bystander on the Gold Coast showed Daniel Steven Wesley May, 23, allegedly crashing his Toyota Corolla into a Mazda BT-50 ute before chasing three men with a knife about 4.40pm on Saturday.

The Southport man has since been arrested and remanded in custody, charged with multiple serious offenses in relation to the alleged incident in Hollywell.

The video began with two men running behind and yelling at the black Toyota, allegedly driven by May, as it was traveling on Oxley Drive.

The Toyota turned around and backed down the wrong side of the road toward the men before going over the median and allegedly crashing into a parked car.
