Megan Skye Blancada appeared in Adelaide court on Monday, where her lawyer said she would plead guilty to one count of unlawful sexual intercourse.

A bikini model and actress who briefly starred in the hit horror film Wolf Creek faces serious child sexual abuse charges following her arrest for alleged sexual abuse of a teenager.

Megan Skye Blancada, a young mother and model, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday charged with sexual abuse of a child under 16 and possession of child exploitation material.

Police alleged his offense occurred between July 30, 2021, and November 6, 2023, in Adelaide’s outer north, court documents show.

In online profiles, Blancada, 34, advertises herself as a fitness model and advertises her roles in films such as Hey Hey Its Esther and Wolf Creek.

In a post from August 30, 2023, she shows off a Jadore dress and writes, “Attending a red carpet event in Sydney I definitely needed a dress from @dressforanight and they did not disappoint.”

Blancada claims to have modeled for Mitsubishi and Bank SA and is the author of a novel called Shadow Hunters: Shadows in the Wall.

In her online profile, the Adelaide-born model also says that she “likes to keep her private life to herself by keeping a low profile.”

Lawyer Andrew Graham, appearing for Blancada, told Magistrate Simon Smart that his client would make a plea offer to the prosecution.

“My client will plead guilty to unlawful sexual relations and two indecent assaults,” he said.

Police charged Blancada with knowing possession of child exploitation material after confiscating her phone following her arrest in November.

Negotiations between the defense and prosecution continue and Smart adjourned Blancada’s case until May 1 to respond to the charges.

Blancada wore an ironed white shirt and black pants for her appearance, with wavy blonde hair.

She declined to make any statement after leaving court.

Blancada will return to court to answer the charges against him in May.
