Cubitt's Granny Flats and Home Extensions goes into liquidation: NSW and ACT construction firm collapses over $5.7m debt

A construction company collapsed, laying off 80 employees and putting 130 projects on hold.

Creditors voted to liquidate Cubitt’s Granny Flats and Home Extensions on Friday.

The company, which had been operating for 30 years in New South Wales and the ACT, went into voluntary administration earlier this year and had debts of $5.7 million.

$2.6 million of that figure is believed to be due to 77 operations.

More to come.
