The nuptials could reportedly take place as soon as this weekend, with a marriage license already appearing in Hamilton County court records in Ohio.

It comes five years after the end of her controversial affair with Hunter, and the 50-year-old is expected to be called as a witness in the president’s son’s upcoming trial for weapons violations.

Hallie has reportedly been engaged to Anning for over a year, but the couple postponed marriage until their youngest son graduated from high school.

Insiders tell Page Six that the big day is scheduled for this weekend, however, further details about the wedding or who might attend are unclear.

She was previously married to Beau Biden from 2002 until his death in 2015 from brain cancer, during which time she served as Attorney General of Delaware.

After Beau Biden’s death, she began dating Hunter around the same time he divorced his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle.

The couple continued dating for two years, at a time that has now fallen into the spotlight ahead of Hunter’s federal trial.

The president’s son is accused of lying about his crack cocaine addiction on weapons forms when he purchased a Colt Cobra .38 firearm in October 2018, at the same time he was dating Hallie.

Hunter’s trial is the first against the son of a sitting president and comes just days after Donald Trump became the first former president convicted of a serious crime.

He is also scheduled for another trial in Los Angeles in September after allegedly avoiding more than $1.4 million in federal taxes from 2016 to 2019.

Following Beau's tragic passing, Hallie sparked controversy when she embarked on a two-year relationship with her husband's brother, Hunter.

Also expected to testify at the upcoming trial are Buhle, who Hunter allegedly owes more money, and his ex-girlfriend Zoe Kestan.

At his trial, the president’s son will face accusations that he deliberately incorrectly filled out a federal background check form, where he wrote that he did not use controlled substances.

Hunter has been open about his addiction problems in the past, and prosecutors also presented evidence that cocaine was found in his gun pouch.

According to the New York PostHallie’s testimony was able to see in detail how Hunter took the .38 firearm to his home in Delaware and kept it for 11 days before throwing it into a trash can outside a supermarket.

Kestan also reportedly previously revealed more details to prosecutors, including allegations that Hunter smoked crack cocaine “every 20 minutes except when he was sleeping.”

Prosecutors will also present a series of texts and images that they say prove Hunter knowingly lied on the background form, with Hallie expected to be the star witness.

This included a month after Hallie found the gun, where he texted her: “I’m a liar, a thief, a guilty man and a user, and I’m delusional and an addict, unlike all the other addicts out there.” you know”. And I’ve ruined every relationship I’ve ever held dear.

In another, he allegedly texted her that he “proved unstable when you threw a gun in the trash… out of FEAR.”

Prosecutors said Hallie frequently searched Hunter’s “purses, backpacks, and vehicles in an effort to help him get sober, and discovered drug paraphernalia and drugs in his possessions on multiple occasions.”

Hunter faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted of felony weapons offenses and has pleaded not guilty.
