Newly filed documents about the divide between Survivor: China alums Jaime Huffman and Erik Huffman paint a grim picture of marital infidelity, domestic violence, substance abuse and attempted sexual assault.
Jaime, 38, last week filed court papers in South Carolina against Erik, 43, raising a series of accusations against his ex-spouse, with whom he exchanged vows in 2009, according to the New York Post.
Jaime, a social media influencer, told the court in a 103-page affidavit that Erik, who works in the healthcare sector as a medical assistant, often drank too much and, in that state, would have massive outbursts of anger.
Jaime said Erik, whom she first crossed paths with on CBS in 2007, abused her when she confronted him on one occasion after finding messages on his phone from men described as “flirtatious.”
Jaime, whose maiden name is Dugan, said in legal papers: “He snapped and started yelling, ‘How dare you accuse me of being gay, you stupid man.'”
Newly filed documents about the split between Survivor: China alums Jaime Huffman, 38, and Erik Huffman, 43, paint a grim picture of marital infidelity, domestic violence, substance abuse and attempted sexual assault.
Erik and Jaime initially crossed paths on Survivor: China in 2007. He finished in sixth place and she finished tenth on the CBS reality series.
Jaime told the court that on another occasion, Erik ‘tried to have sexual relations with her against her will.’
Jaime told court doctors that Erik shamed her about her weight after she gave birth to their son Harper in 2010.
Jaime told the court that Erik also showed a streak of jealousy, as in one incident when she was working at a restaurant, he believed she was kissing a waiter who worked there. Jamie noticed that she had leaned over to tell the waiter about a customer complaint.
“He started yelling at me and punched a hole in the wall next to my head,” Jaime said in legal documents. “He broke several bones in his hand and everyone around him went silent.”
Several allegations contained in the exhaustive affidavit appear “to be supported by eyewitnesses,” the Post reported after reviewing case documents.
Accompanying the affidavit was a private investigator’s report that included photographs detailing what Jaime claims is an extramarital affair Erik has had with a co-worker who is married.
Erik “was monitored spending hours at her home,” according to the outlet, citing court documents.
Erik has not yet responded to the court filing, according to the Post.
The former couple was seen in better times in a Facebook post. Jaime is now a lifestyle influencer who refers to herself as Charleston Blonde.
Jaime told the court that on one occasion Erik “tried to have sexual relations with her against her will.” The stars are shown here during their time on the CBS show.
Erik and Jaime separated earlier this year following an incident on January 23 in which Erik was charged with third-degree domestic violence following a conflict at a gas station in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
A police report documenting the arrest indicated that Erik injured Jaime’s hand after she found an extra phone he was using.
Erik told authorities in the incident that Jamie had threatened to harm himself and was in a suicidal state of mind, accusations Jaime said were false.
According to the outlet, domestic violence charges were first dropped after the arresting police officer failed to appear in court; the case had been reinstated after “counsel independently reviewed the evidence and refiled the case.”
The former CBS stars were involved in another public conflict that required police intervention on April 19, when they were summoned to a gas station for a custody dispute over their son.
After an “agitated” Erik tried to pass off a draft agreement that a judge had not signed, police allowed Jaime to take his son that weekend, the outlet reported.
Erik and Jaime initially crossed paths on Survivor: China in 2007, a year in which she finished in tenth place and he finished sixth.
The couple later exchanged vows at an $80,000 wedding they won from the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
