A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman in the head near a popular gym.
The woman was allegedly attacked outside the Crunch Fitness gym on O’riordan Street in Alexandria, Sydney, at around 12.30pm on Wednesday.
Officers received reports that a man, believed to be in his 40s, had stabbed a 39-year-old woman inside the car park, before fleeing in a vehicle.
A 45-year-old man turned up at Dee Why police station at around 7.50am on Thursday.
He has since been taken to Manly Police Station for further investigation.
It is believed that the man and woman knew each other.
The woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
