The Princess Royal, known as the hardest working royal, is famous for recycling her wardrobe, often wearing clothes she has had for 30 or 40 years.

The 73-year-old royal has recycled numerous coats, dresses, hats and bags over the years, some of which she has had for decades.

Anne not only repurposes pieces from the mid-1970s, but also dusts off identical outfits, often with the same jewelry and shoes.

When asked about his recycling habit, he once said: ‘A good suit lasts forever.

“If it’s well made and classic looking, you can wear it endlessly. Economy is something that was instilled in me by culture.”

Zara, mother of daughters Mia, 10, and Lena, six, and son Lucas, three, has inherited this realistic vision of clothing.

She advised people to build “a wardrobe of quality investment pieces that will stand the test of time but also have the technical finish they need.”

She added: “We do timeless, signature style very well – we know how to dress for formal occasions, but also how to dress for outdoor activities.”
