‘I’m actually shocked, I’m really upset by this. I’m aware that people sell their animals online (I get it), and I’m aware that people breed and sell kittens and puppies. I am aware that this exists.

“But sell your adult cat on Vinted because you no longer want to have it and also the cat did not have a microchip, it was not neutered or anything like that.
‘How are people allowed to have animals if they are not willing to put in a little effort to care for them?
‘It’s not that difficult to take care of a cat. “It makes me so sad that someone could do that to a cat, I just want to adopt him.”
Vinted strictly prohibits the sale of live animals on its app. The sale of pet care items and accessories is allowed.
The company states on its website that prohibited sales are: ‘Illegal items: any goods or materials the possession, trading, sale, publication, transportation or production of which is prohibited by any applicable law, rule or regulation.
‘Such as: Restricted items: items that are not clothing, are not related to fashion, beauty, accessories, children, home goods or simply do not align with Vinted’s vision.
‘Unsafe items: items that do not meet hygiene standards, or may pose health or safety risks.’
The company clarifies that the sale of “live animals, pets and live plants” is prohibited in the category of restricted items.

‘Humans really annoy me sometimes, how can people just repurpose their pets and see them as something so disposable?’
‘If you get an animal, that is your LIFE responsibility (unless extreme circumstances occur).
“And why don’t people neuter, microchip or vaccinate their animals (crying face emoji)?”
