The stained socks were only two months old.

A young Australian woman has revealed exactly how to make white socks white again after trying out a viral cleaning hack for herself.

Melbourne-based Chantelle Barressi followed trending cleaning tips on a pair of stained white socks that were just eight weeks old.

And she couldn’t believe the results.

“I don’t know what I’m doing with my socks, but why do they look like that?” he said, showing off the dirty clothes.

But dirty socks gave her the perfect excuse to try out a sophisticated laundry hack that racked up 4.6 million likes on TikTok in a single week.

Chantelle filled a bucket with the dirty socks and boiling water and added a scoop of The Miracle Laundry Oxi Powder Stain Remover from The Pink Stuff.

“Let’s bring these babies back to life,” he said.

She let the stained socks soak for twenty minutes before emptying the bucket of water, which had turned a “satisfactory” shade of brown.

Impeccably washed socks

Chantelle couldn’t believe how well the cleaning trick had worked for her.

“I have no words for this,” Chantelle said.

“If this isn’t a sign to get your act together, I don’t know what is,” he added.

The Miracle Laundry Oxi Stain Remover Spray was then quickly applied to the still lightly stained socks.

Then she put the socks in the washing machine and when she took them out, they were the perfect shade of white.

People who commented on Chantelle’s video were amazed at how flawless the treated socks turned out.

“OMG this literally saved my socks,” one woman said.

“Like new, looks much whiter, I have to try it,” said another woman.

Some women were eager to try the viral hack on their kids’ dirty school socks.

People also commented on how much they “loved” The Pink Stuff laundry products.

“That Pink Stuff stain remover spray is a work of genius,” said one fan.

Some people weren’t so eager to try the viral laundry hack and said they simply avoided white socks altogether.
