Amanda Keller has revealed the women in radio she is closest to.
The star of WSFM 101.7 Sydney’s Jonesy & Amanda named former 2GB star Deb Knight, Nova’s Kate Ritchie and Hit’s Erin Molan as women, and peers, who she considers some of her closest friends.
“We all share stories of coping with an industry that was dominated by men for so long and surviving having young children in the midst of it,” the 62-year-old told Daily Telegraph from her gang of friends.
‘We share many lived experiences. And I’ll never forget Wendy Harmer’s kindness when I started on breakfast radio,’ she continued.
“Even though we were on competitive shifts, she went out of her way to welcome me to the club.”

Amanda added that when women get together as a group, “it’s very hard to shut them up.”
Erin also spoke about her friendship with women and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who, as a co-star on the Kyle and Jackie O show, is the biggest name in the industry and the highest-paid woman on the airwaves.
‘I had lunch with Jackie O last week and she is absolutely divine. “It’s actually disgusting how much love I have for the women I have to compete with every day,” she said.

She also named Hit’s Erin Molan (pictured) as a close companion of hers.
Likewise, Nova’s Kate Ritchie (pictured) made the cut.
It comes after Keller and co-star Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones said their KIIS FM colleagues Henderson and Kyle Sandilands may be overstating the value of their latest deal with Australian Radio Network.
WSFM hosts previously claimed that reports about Kyle and Jackie’s previous $80 million pay packages were likely “inflated.”
Brendan told The Daily Telegraph: “I would say that figure is a bit of an accumulation which could have been inflated because it is important to look good with that amount of money.” This is how the show goes.
‘I’m not taking anything away from them with that, that’s their thing, that’s what they do. They respect us and we respect them,’ he added.

“You’d be banging your head against a brick wall if you cared about (wages) and let it get to you, but I’ll ask them for some money for the bus.”
Last year, it was reported that Henderson and Sandilands were allegedly preparing to leave if they could not agree a lucrative new deal with their Australian Radio Network bosses.
The radio duo reportedly demanded a 100% increase from their current $5 million a year salaries to a staggering $10 million a year, making it the biggest deal in Australian radio history. .
Over the course of a 10-year deal, the pay rise would net them a combined $200 million, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The record deal would keep the shock team until the end of 2034 and make them the highest-paid radio hosts in the country.
While other radio veterans like Ray Hadley, Keller and Carrie Bickmore only make up to $3.5 million a year, Kyle, 52, and Jackie O, 49, will reign supreme.
At the end of last year, the duo triumphed in the sixth radio rating of the year.
KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show beat 2GB’s Ben Fordham in Sydney, taking a massive 14.7 per cent audience share (up 0.8 per cent on last year).
The survey also saw ABC Sydney slightly ahead of WSFM 101.7’s Amanda Keller and Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones to become the third highest rated breakfast show.
