A woman has been charged with murder after an elderly man was found dead inside a home.
Emergency services were called to a home on Basie Court in Browns Plains, south of Brisbane, around midday on Monday after a 72-year-old man was found unconscious and not breathing.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting the arrest of a 32-year-old local woman, Skye Sampson, on charges of murder (domestic violence offence).
Police believe the couple knew each other, but their relationship is unknown.
He will appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday as investigations into the death continue.
Neighbors reported hearing screams and screams on multiple occasions before the alleged incident, but did not know much about the couple.
One said she had never interacted with the man or Sampson.
“I just watched him ride his bike, go to the shops, come back, mow the lawn,” he told the paper. courier mail.
