‘Grotesquerie’ director Ryan Murphy has revealed that Taylor Swift was ‘very supportive’ of Travis Kelce’s move into acting.
When asked if Swift had given her NFL boyfriend any advice before he began working on his biggest acting role to date, Murphy gave fans a brief insight.
“The only thing (Travis and I) talked about was that she’s very supportive of him and if he’s interested, she wants him to try it.” He told E! News at the premiere of the show.
“I got really emotional about it,” she added, adding that she’s only heard “sweet, lovely things” about the pop singer, before revealing that “I love her too.”
The Kansas City Chiefs star has a role in the horror fiction ‘Grotesquerie’ alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley ManvilleMicaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Raven Goodwin.
Ryan Murphy has revealed what Taylor Swift said to Travis Kelce before he made his acting debut
Murphy wrote the role on his FX show ‘Grotesquerie’ specifically for Kelce, he revealed.
What role he’ll play remains to be seen, however, after Kelce didn’t appear in the first two episodes on Wednesday night.
Several fans, including his brother Jason, tuned in to see Kelce make his acting debut, only to be disappointed when he didn’t appear anywhere during the two hour-long episodes.
However, it appears that Kelce will appear in the next two installments of Grotesquerie, after appearing twice in the trailer for episodes three and four.
Two of Kelce’s lines on the show were heard in the preview for next week’s episode, with the Chiefs tight end heard for the first time eerily saying, “You’re going to regret this.”
Then he says to another character in a more cheerful way: “Do you want me to turn on the night light so you won’t be afraid in the dark?”
The Chiefs star appears to be appearing in the next two episodes after being absent in the first two.
Kelce’s brother Jason joked that he wouldn’t be happy if he ended up playing the role of a monstrous serial killer on the show.
The football legend’s acting debut comes amid his disappointing start to the season with the Chiefs, which has raised questions about his future in the NFL.
During Wednesday night’s premiere episodes, Kelce’s brother Jason joked that he would be very upset if it was revealed that his brother committed a monstrous crime on the show.
Fans have already been left shaken by the incredibly gory and gruesome nature of Grotesquerie.
The first episode focuses on Detective Lois Tryon (Niecy Nash-Betts) and her hunt for a serial killer accused of sickening crimes, including “boiling” a baby.
In light of that disturbing revelation, Jason admitted that he wouldn’t be too happy if Travis’ character turns out to be the serial killer in question.
The Philadelphia Eagles legend posted during Wednesday night’s premiere: ‘If Travis boiled a baby I would be so pissed #Grotesquerie.’
