Actress Millie Bobby Brown is arguably one of the most famous faces of Generation Z. However, in recent weeks, fans have spotted a curious change in the Stranger Things star’s image.
New images posted by Millie to promote her fashion brand show the 20-year-old sporting noticeably fuller lips and plump cheeks.
Fans on social media commented that the Enola Holmes alum may have undergone cosmetic “work.”
While some praised her, others suggested that the subtle touch-ups made her “look 40.”
“It looks like her face is squished by fillers,” said another.
Fans have speculated that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, 20, used filler after they claimed the former child star looked “a lot older” in a new photoshoot.
“I feel so bad for the societal pressures that lead such young girls to do this,” read a third comment.
“He looks much older than his age, it’s like he’s stealing life’s stages.”
Now, cosmetic doctors have weighed in and revealed whether or not fans are right with their suspicions.
“Her cheekbones appear higher and her lips fuller, which could be a result of the filler,” Dr Paul Banwell, an award-winning plastic and cosmetic surgeon, told MailOnline.
However, she added that any work that has been done is subtle and is not “wearing her down” as some commentators on social media have suggested.
The star’s change in appearance may simply be the result of “natural aging,” Dr. Banwell said.
Promotional photos showing the Stranger Things star’s fuller lips and “older” face have sparked rumors, some of them brutal, on social media that she has undergone cosmetic work.
Experts have long warned that Botox and other non-invasive treatments, such as microneedling to achieve a youthful look, can cause facial puffiness. Pictured, Millie in March 2024
‘Your bone structure and face shape will change as you age, especially starting as early as 12 years old.’
Dr. Banwell warned that Bobby Brown is at risk of “overdoing it” Fillings.
‘This could result in a “pillow face” or frozen face, which I believe is the real purpose of the adjustments.’
Dr Banwell added: “Fillers are a popular way to rejuvenate the skin and make the face look fuller. If used correctly, they can create a more youthful and plump appearance.
‘As we age, we naturally lose collagen and fat in the face, leading to a less full and sagging appearance. This loss of volume can result in a less youthful appearance.
‘The most popular facial treatments tend to be fillers and Botox, as they are more affordable and have fairly instant results, if done correctly.’
Last year, Millie also sparked rumours that she had had a nose job after appearing on the red carpet.
But at that time plastic surgeons agreed that she had not undergone the procedure.
Dr Paul Banwell told MailOnline: “If she has had any work done, I don’t think she is ‘burdened by fillers’.” She is seen on the left in the photoshoot and on the right in 2018.

Dr. Richard Reish, award-winning plastic surgeon based in New York City The surgeon told his 18,000 TikTok followers: ‘As for her nose, it has a relatively straight back. It’s very pretty and smooth.
‘It has some irregularities in the wing of the nose with some alar retraction of the nostrils just at the soft triangle of the nasal tip.
‘There is also some exposure and drooping of the columella.
“However, she is beautiful and has a nice overall appearance.”
Millie Bobby Brown, who rose to fame at age 12 thanks to her role in Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things, previously opened up about her insecurities to Glamour magazine.
“I feel like shit today,” she told the publication in 2023. “I have a huge pimple on my face.
‘And I’m going to go on Instagram and I’m going to see five different girls who look beautiful, perfect, stunning, and, okay, sensational.’
She added that she would probably end up “sobbing” because she “knew it didn’t look like that.”
She said that looking back, she believes the public scrutiny “strips her mentally” and “stunted her growth.”
“You can’t talk about underage children,” the actress said. “I mean, our brains haven’t grown physically yet.”
‘To diminish and virtually stunt someone’s mental growth, strip them naked, say, “Hey, listen, you don’t look so good,” or “Why are you wearing that?” or “How dare you think you can wear that?” or “How dare you say that?”‘
