At 70, the twice-divorced Texan is 12 years older than Viola, and they originally met in 1999 on the set of the CBS series City of Angels.
Davis is also stepmother to Julius’ two children: daughter Shevonda Tennon, 47, and son Duriel Tennon, 44, from his six-year marriage to former wife No. 1 Sheryl Arnold, which ended in 1980.
“I use beauty as a tool to help me embrace the joy of life and foster my self-love, and I feel like people see that radiating through me. I work out, I put on a pretty shade of lipstick to please myself,” the South Carolina-born actress told Harper’s Bazaar UK May 28th.
‘Every night I take a bath with my husband, we sit in the tub, we laugh, we talk and we do facials. I tell him how beautiful he looks and he tells me how beautiful I look. I love facials, acid peels, steam showers, red light therapy and drinking water.
“Going for a run with my daughter makes me feel young and she makes me laugh. I’ve decided that I like my smile and that’s why I want to laugh more. Feeling the sun (with sunscreen, of course) makes me feel alive.”
