Two former Calhoun City School District employees have been charged and arrested for allegedly having sexual relationships with their students.
Railey Greeson and Brooklyn Shuler, who played prominent roles and were involved in each other’s weddings over the past two years, were indicted Thursday by a Gordon County Grand Jury on three counts of first-degree sexual contact by an employee or agent.
The first two counts of the indictment allege that Greeson had sexual relationships with two different male students while working for the school district.
The third charge was against Shuler, 23, who is accused of having sexual relations with a student.
The grand jury says the women “reasonably should have known” that the three alleged victims were enrolled as students at the time they allegedly engaged in sexual acts with them.

The indictment does not reveal the ages of the students or which schools they were enrolled in at the time of the alleged sexual crimes against them.
The two women were arrested and booked into Gordon County Jail, where they were later released on bond. Gordon Gazette reports.
Greeson and Shuler allegedly had sexual relationships with these students sometime between October 29, 2021, and January 3, 2022, which predates both marriages.
Shuler was first married in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, on Nov. 12, 2022, according to her wedding registry website.
Greeson married in Tennessee about a year after Shuler, on October 7, 2023.
Shuler named Greeson her maid of honor, describing her as her “best friend” and “ride-or-die companion.”
Shuler did not have the honor of being Greeson’s maid of honor at her wedding, but she did serve as a bridesmaid.

It remains unclear which school these two lifelong friends worked at at the time of the alleged crimes.
Greeson was a member of Calhoun High School’s class of 2019, according to an Instagram post showing a professional photo taken of her in anticipation of her senior year.
This places her around 23 years old.
Greeson was also mildly active on X, posting more than two years ago about how she would approach “communicating feedback” to her students.
“Communicating feedback in the form of grades and averages can really stress students out and cause them to struggle,” Greeson wrote.
Her X profile reveals that she attended Kennesaw State and her graduation date is 2023.
Shuler’s connection to the Calhoun City School District is unclear, however, his marital status is a little clearer.
She is apparently no longer with the man she married in November 2022, as he has a son with a new wife, according to her Facebook profile.
Greeson still appears in her husband’s profile picture on his social media accounts.
If convicted, Greeson and Shuler could face one to 25 years in prison or a fine of up to $100,000.
If the alleged sexual acts with the children involved sodomy, the women could face up to 50 years behind bars.
