As Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for their first NFL game of the season later tonight, many will be wondering if Taylor Swift will be in attendance.
Swift’s regular appearances at Kansas City games have become their own media circus, generating plenty of attention for the pop star, tight end and team.
Speaking on CBS Mornings as part of a promotion for a new Pepsi ad, Kelce said he had an idea of what he was getting into and is undeterred by the constant media attention on him and his family.
“I guess it’s the life I chose, I have fun with it, it’s part of the territory of wanting to do fun things like this and signing up for cool sponsorships and promotions like this.
He added: “Everyone loves it, mom Kelce is having a lot of fun, I think my dad is slowly getting more comfortable with it and (his brother) Jason has always been a pro at it.”
Travis Kelce says the attention that comes with being Taylor Swift’s girlfriend “comes with the job”
She says most of her family, including her mother Donna Kelce, have noticed.
Kelce was even asked what his favorite Taylor Swift song was, but he was a little shy in his answer.
“I have a lot of favorite songs, they’re all my favorites. If you see me in concert, you’ll see me singing them all.”
When asked why people would support him, Kelce said he hopes people do so with genuine intentions.
‘I hope it’s because they see that I’m a genuinely good person, that I love what I do and that I love doing it with the people I do it with.
“I’d rather give everyone happiness and a reason to be happy than do the opposite.”
He even spoke about his brother Jason’s retirement, and the Chiefs tight end didn’t hold back or was afraid to show his emotions.
“I’m forever grateful for who my brother is in my life, he’s always been the guy I can lean on, so a moment like (Jason’s retirement), where he finally gave up and hung up, was definitely one of the most emotional moments I’ve had with him.”
