A young Donald Trump fan learned of his longtime hero’s presidential victory in a touching moment captured on video.
Liam Licastro, 8, of New York, lives with agenesis of the corpus callosum, a rare brain disorder that initially caused doctors to warn his family that he might never be able to walk, talk or eat on his own.
But Liam, who has been a loyal Trump supporter since he was just 18 months old, defied those odds and has been a very vocal mega-fan from a young age.
And when he woke up the morning after Election Day, he was in for a big surprise.
Liam Licastro, 8, who has been a Trump fan since he was just 18 months old, learned of his lifelong hero’s presidential victory and it was captured in a heartwarming video.
Liam told Fox News Digital: “I hope to visit him when he moves into the White House so I can tell him about hockey.”
“We have something to tell you Liam,” his mother Siobhan is heard saying in a video shared with fox news.
—You know that the elections were yesterday. Who do you support?
Liam replies: ‘Trump.’
Her mother continues to inform her of what happened during the night and pointing out that Kamala Harris had a lot of voters in her circle.
‘Let me guess, she won?’ Liam responds with growing disappointment in his voice.
“No,” his mother replies.
‘Trump won? Yeah!’ Liam exclaims while wearing a big smile and his fist pumping the air. ‘Thank you Lord!’ then pray.
Liam met his hero in person during a rally where Trump arrived with gifts: a red bow-wrapped box filled with MAGA goodies.
Liam suffers from corpus callosum, a rare brain disorder, and his family was initially warned that he might never be able to walk, talk or eat on his own.
His mother then asks her son what he would like to say to Trump, to which he replies, “Fight, fight, fight!” I love you’, while blowing a kiss.
Liam’s support for the former president has not gone unnoticed over the years, and Trump has reciprocated that same recognition.
Just before Liam turned eight, he received a happy birthday letter from none other than the former president.
Her emotional reaction to her birthday gift went viral: big smiles followed by tears of gratitude as she opened the manila envelope.
“We are very encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown throughout your life and send you our love and best wishes as you continue to fight,” the letter said, Fox News reported.
The young megafan has not gone unnoticed by Trump, and the former president has returned the same love dozens of times.
Just before Liam’s eighth birthday, Trump sent a happy birthday letter in which he called his young fan an inspiration.
‘Remember that you are never alone and we keep you in our thoughts and prayers for continued care and good health. May God bless you and your family, stay strong.’
Shortly after Trump’s letter, Liam and his family were invited to his Uniondale rally as VIP guests, where they sat just three rows from the candidates’ stage.
Trump even gave a quick shout-out to Liam and his family, telling the crowd all about his young fan’s bravery while pointing at him from the stage.
But that was not all. Liam met his hero in person during a rally where Trump arrived with gifts: a box wrapped with red ribbon filled with MAGA goodies.
“It’s a pipe dream,” Chris Licastro, Liam’s father, previously said at the rally, Fox News reported. “I can never imagine thanking the world for helping my son get this far and showing him support and making his dream come true.”
Shortly after receiving the happy birthday letter, Liam and his family were invited to the Trump rally in Uniondale.
Liam and his family sat just three rows from the candidates’ stage and also received a shout-out from Trump and a big round of applause from the crowd during the rally.
“Believe it or not, this is probably one of his biggest dreams: to meet Donald Trump, his hero since he was probably born. If not, very close,” he added.
Donald Trump was declared the winner by Fox News early Wednesday morning after going head-to-head with Vice President Kamala Harris in a historic election, and the victorious result meant everything to the Licastro family.
“This means a lot,” Siobhan told Fox News. “We don’t have to worry about our children losing the therapies they need, like my son did under Obama and Biden.”
And eight-year-old Liam is excited about Trump’s return to the White House.
“Trump is going to be a strong leader, he is going to make America a better, safer and happier place to live,” Liam wrote in a message to Fox News Digital.
“I hope to visit him when he moves to the White House so I can talk to him about hockey.”
The family created a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for future research into corpus callosum disorders and for Liam’s future therapy that is not covered by insurance.
