Tom Brady has discovered that in his first NFL game as an analyst for FOX Sports, the Dallas Cowboys will face the Cleveland Browns.
“Obviously having the Cowboys is a big draw,” Brady said. “I love covering them, I’ve been against them for a long time.”
The game will be at Cleveland Browns Stadium and will begin at 4:25 pm ET on Sunday, September 8. Kevin Burkhardt will join Brady in the broadcast booth.
Brady has a 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX to call NFL games in a new era of his football career, after retiring in February 2023 for the second and final time.
The 46-year-old, seven-time Super Bowl champion, is considered the best to ever play the game and spent 23 years in the NFL with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady took a year off after retiring in 2023 (there were, naturally, rumors that he may have been convinced to continue playing) and has since been working on his camera skills ahead of his long-awaited on-screen debut.
Brady will call a game that raises the curtain on a great season for both franchises.
Last year, the Cowboys won the NFC East but lost 48-32 in the playoffs to the seventh-seeded Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round.
It also marks the final year of quarterback Dak Prescott’s four-year contract with the Cowboys.
Meanwhile, the Browns lost in the playoffs to the Houston Texans, losing 45-14.
The first game announcement comes after it was revealed that last season’s Super Bowl winners, the Kansas City Chiefs, will begin the season in a blockbuster game against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.
The full NFL schedule will be released Wednesday night.
