Michelle wrote a long post about how she wanted to ‘reclaim’ the place where he proposed to her.
She wrote: ‘IMPORTANCE OF RECOVERING. Over the weekend I returned to the place where I got engaged.
“I had made a plan to go back next month, but when a friend and I discovered that we had no plans for the weekend, we decided to spontaneously go paddling. Spontaneity is one of my main values and I have realized that I haven’t spent enough time on it in recent years.
‘We went to the beach because I hated sand. We cooked roast pork because that was the meal we were making when I found out.
“I went to the pub with a cup of tea and I knew he would have found it embarrassing. We laughed as we realized our friendship bracelets had lasted longer than my engagement.
‘And my heart warmed as I realized that my bench had been painted white for a new beginning. We had gone to the bank to paint our engagement date with our names right after our engagement. It’s funny that it was the classic he + Michelle 4 eva. Who knew that 24 hours are forever?
“That whole place is full of memories, from the bed I was sitting in when I found out, to where I was when I got that DM, to the window I was looking out of when he left the house, to my life forever.” .
‘I think we can say that I successfully recovered it. The only thing left was his sweater.
“It was the only sweater I had in my suitcase, but when we went to the beach and they told me I would be cold, I said I’d rather be cold than wear it.” I knew it was time to let it go, that I still had some attachment because it reminded me of a time when I was sick.’

Despite how their relationship ended, Michelle said she doesn’t want to demonize her ex-partner.
She added: “I know we are meant to demonize our exes but one thing that will never leave me is that he was always very loving and particularly caring for me, especially when I was sick and the jumper represents a loss of that.”
“It’s been sitting in my closet for the past few months, but I was hoping to bring it in, wear it, and also get it back. However, I realized that you can’t claim something that was never yours, so I put it in the post.
‘I had a little cry when I released it. I think the fucked up thing about infidelity is that it really makes it difficult for you to know what was real and what wasn’t. I think those moments of kindness and affection were. I wouldn’t have been with him for 3 years if they weren’t ‘.
It comes after Michelle hit back at trolls who accused her of moving on too soon with dating after the end of her relationship.

Michelle responded to the trolls in part of her caption when she wrote, “For anyone who thinks it’s too soon, my ex didn’t even wait until she was single to do this… THAT’S the definition of too soon.”
But after going public with the heartbreaking revelation, Michelle went on a date with a new man and shared how she was preparing on social media in early May.
She was seen trying on a number of different outfits, including the colorful cardigan she wore in her post announcing her breakup; she joked that she would reuse it.

“Keeping it very relaxed and informal, we will see each other again on Wednesday.”
She added in a story: “Please stop comparing, everyone’s journey is unique, if you haven’t wanted to date that’s valid too.” How I’m living my life now is not advice I’m giving as a life coach.’
Michelle shared a screenshot of their date and revealed that they had both agreed to keep things very casual.
Despite the infidelity, Michelle says her ex wants her back, stating that the time they spent together were the best years of her life and that she will do anything to right her wrongs.
But Michelle’s live dating profile on Thursday reaffirms that she’s not interested and is ready to meet a new partner who will treat her the way she deserves.
Recalling the moment she found out about the betrayal, Michelle said: “My first reaction was shock, I was shaking and I kept saying, please tell me first, I don’t want to find out from her.”
“My reaction was… you’ve ruined a good thing, this was going to be the happiest weekend of my life, we were fine… I was paralyzed.”
Michelle has respected her ex-partner’s privacy throughout their relationship, saying it would break her heart for him to be trolled online after experiencing shaming and insults on his own profile.
She said her reason for publicly sharing her story is to support other women who have gone through the same experience and hopes her honesty shows them that they have nothing to be ashamed of.
