- Emdur disappears from morning show after alleged incident with ‘stalker’
- The popular presenter remains focused on work despite an unpleasant distraction
EXCLUSIVE
Gold Logie-winning presenter Larry Emdur remains “totally focused” on his job despite being mobbed by an obsessed fan after he scooped the top award at this month’s night of television.
Concerned viewers noticed the Channel Seven stalwart had disappeared from The Morning Show on Wednesday when it emerged NSW Police had been forced to take out an AVO to protect him from a supposedly obsessed fan.
However, Daily Mail Australia can reveal the Seven star is still working and was on a pre-arranged break from the show while he films the next season of his hit game show, The Chase Australia.
Sources at the network assured the Daily Mail Australia that the tireless artist remained in good spirits and hoped to “get on with the job” with minimal distractions.
NSW Police were called to Seven’s Eveleigh headquarters at about 11.15am last Thursday after Rodney Pearce, a 52-year-old Victorian man, allegedly attempted to enter the building.
“Officers from the South Sydney Police Area Command attended and spoke to a 52-year-old man who had been escorted out of the building by security,” NSW Police said in a statement.
Pearce was arrested and taken to hospital for assessment before being transferred to Surry Hills Police Station.
Larry Emdur collected the coveted Gold Logie at last week’s television industry awards night.

He was charged with trespassing and possession of a prohibited drug.
Pearce appeared at Downing Centre Local Court where he was granted conditional bail and is due to reappear on 5 September.
Their conditions include not entering Central Ave in the Haymarket suburb and not coming within 200 metres of Channel 7.
The 52-year-old was also ordered to report daily to Redfern Police Station.
Court records show the AVO for the protection of Emdur will be mentioned in court on September 16.
The arrest came just days after Emdur claimed the title at the 2024 Logies on August 18.
After four decades on screen, the television personality finally took home the top award.
Network Seven has not commented as the matter is still before the court.
The incident allegedly occurred at Seven’s headquarters in Eveleigh, south of Sydney.
Emdur and Sylvie look forward to getting on with their lives with minimal distractions.
