After six tumultuous weeks of campaigning, the British public finally heads to the polls to decide Britain’s future in this week’s general election.

Has Rishi Sunak done enough to prolong the Conservatives’ mandate, or will Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour secure a supermajority, as the polls predict? And of course, let’s not rule out Sir Ed Davey and Nigel Farage, whose attempts to shake up the campaign may yet dramatically change the odds. It is no exaggeration to say that the stakes are immense, and that a new government needs to meet rising expectations and quickly address national concerns that have long been ignored.
