An esteemed Australian actress made a rare public appearance with her son at a star-studded event in New York City on Thursday night.
The 55-year-old is considered one of the greatest performers of her generation, with two Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards and four Golden Globes under her belt.
She was the first ambassador of the Australian Film Institute and has been a patron of the Australian Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2001.
She is also a patron of the Sydney Film Festival and was co-chief executive and artistic director of the Sydney Theater Company from 2008 to 2013.
In her personal life, she has been married to her playwright husband for 27 years and together they share four children, who typically stay out of the spotlight.
However, the star made a rare outing with one of her children in New York this week for a charity event hosted by the Clooney Foundation for Justice, run by George and Amal Clooney.
They sweetly held hands as they arrived together at the New York Public Library, and their son looked very dapper in a black suit.
But can you guess who his famous mother is?

That’s right, it’s none other than acting icon Cate Blanchett.
The Elizabeth star arrived at the glittering event, The Albies, with her eldest son Dashiell on her arm.
Cate cut a chic figure in a chic black sequin blouse, which ended at her knee and featured silver embellishments on the left shoulder.
She channeled her inner rocker with a pair of black leather pants and matching black heels to complete her look.
Keeping accessories to a minimum, Cate wore some finger and ear jewelry while finishing her ensemble with a black clutch with gold embellishments.
She also used a smoky eye makeup palette, a light pink blush, and a matching shade for her lips.
Dashiell cut a dapper figure in a dark blue double-breasted suit which he paired with a pair of black leather pumps.
