Several people were injured at a monster truck show in Maine after one of the giant trucks caused a utility pole to fall to the ground Saturday.
A video taken by a bystander captured the horrifying moment the truck severed the utility cable, causing the pole to crash to the ground.
In the footage, a red monster truck with the words ‘Crush Station’ emblazoned on the side drove down the track at Topsham Fairgrounds.

People cringe and duck as the colossal wooden structure crashes to the ground. Then the heavy utility line crashes inches from where the spectators were standing.
Families run out of the area. In the video you can see three people desperately moving their loved one in a wheelchair away from the cables.
While in the air, the truck snags on the utility wire, causing the nearby utility poles to shake and then fall.

A mother and father rush to push their two children, who are sitting in a Radio Flyer Wagon.
And in one terrifying moment, a father and son appear to become entangled in the falling cable.
The father is holding his son and can be seen trying to turn his back in the direction of the wire in order to protect the boy. But the cable ends up hitting the baby in the neck, causing his head to snap back.
Fortunately, the boy appears unharmed and the father quickly runs to safety, cradling his son’s head.
According WMTWThe accident occurred around 2 p.m. at Topsham Fairgrounds, a horse racing track that was being used for a monster truck event.
Two injured people were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for their injuries. At this point, his condition is unclear.
Several other people were treated for minor injuries.

The accident occurred around 2pm at the Topsham Showgrounds, a horse racing track that was being used for a monster truck event.
After the incident, power was quickly cut off in the surrounding area to prevent further injuries.
While the power was out, crews were able to reach out and help those who had been injured in the incident.
Power was not restored until 4:30 pm. The driver emerged from the accident uninjured.
Topsham authorities announced they are continuing to investigate the incident.
