Teenager killed by falling tree the day after GCSE final exam; Three arrested as photograph reveals tragic scene

DEVASTATED family and friends have paid tribute to a “kind and loving” teenager who tragically died after being hit by a falling tree in Carlton in Lindrick, Nottinghamshire. Police were called to the scene at 11:21 a.m. on Saturday following reports of a serious incident. Despite the efforts of police and paramedics, 16-year-old Kamil Hubert was pronounced dead at the scene. The teenager had just completed his GCSEs the day before his untimely death.

Nottinghamshire Police arrested two men, aged 28 and 31, on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the incident. Additionally, a 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The three individuals remain in police custody.

Kamil’s heartbroken friends and family have organized a GoFundMe page to raise money for his funeral. His cousin, Aleksandra Ostapczuk, created the page to support Kamil’s mother. Aleksandra wrote: “On June 15, my aunt’s 16-year-old son died tragically. He had just finished his GCSEs the day before the incident. We are trying to help her raise money to cover his funeral costs. Kamil was a kind and loving boy who was taken from us too soon.”

The community has come together and raised more than £4,000 towards funeral costs. The Carlton in Lindrick Club, located in Worksop, will be hosting a fundraising event for Kamil on Saturday. The balloons will be released at 3 pm at Pit Field as part of the event. The club has requested donations of the raffle prizes that will be delivered before June 21, as reported Sun.

One organizer wrote on the club’s Facebook page: “There will be bake sales and donations for anyone willing to help this local family at their most difficult time. “They have asked that all attendees wear blue to celebrate his life.”

Tributes to Kamil have been pouring in on social media. Jimmy Smith wrote on Facebook: “So sad, RIP young man, thoughts with the family.” Devon Rodgers added: “Rest in heaven Kamil, so young. You will be remembered for your cheeky smile and the jokes you would make. I can’t believe it was yesterday that I saw you on the way to work. Forever 16”.

Another user commented: “How sad, he only left school on Friday. Thinking of his family and friends at this very sad time.” Kamil’s sudden and tragic death has left the community in mourning, and many have come together to support his family during this incredibly difficult time.
