The wedding venue that will host Smithy and Nessa’s nuptials during Gavin and Stacey’s finale is a historic Tudor mansion that engaged couples can rent for £8,000.
Stars of the BBC comedy, including James Corden and Ruth Jones, were spotted at the Court Colman Manor Hotel in South Wales this week filming scenes for the latest episode of the beloved sitcom, which will air on Christmas Day.
Plot details have been kept under wraps, but fans are hoping to finally see Corden’s plumber Smithy marry Nessa (Jones) after the latter proposed to him during the final Christmas episode of 2019.
This Grade II listed Georgian house dates back to Tudor times, was built in 1776 and became a hotel in 1981.
Its period features include oak-panelled drawing rooms, Italian Renaissance fireplaces, a grand ballroom, an elegant Victorian garden room and over six acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.

James, who plays Smithy, was spotted on set this week wearing a navy wedding suit, suggesting viewers could finally get a happy ending between the Essex plumber and Nessa.
And fans of Gavin and Stacey could follow in the footsteps of the beloved characters by tying the knot at the same venue, with packages available costing up to £8,000.
The Georgian architecture and Victorian-style rose walk lend themselves to idyllic wedding photographs, as does the on-site waterfall.
The premium package includes 50 daytime guests and 100 evening guests, where in-house wedding coordinators can help create a “Custom, Personalized Wedding Celebration.”
Lead stars Mathew Horne and Joanna Page, who play Gavin and Stacey Shipman, were seen arriving in wedding attire, along with Alison Steadman, who reprises her role as family matriarch Pam Shipman.
Also returning is actor Steffan Rhodri in his role as Dave ‘Coaches’, Nessa’s former flame, as well as Adrian Scarborough and Julia Davies as Pete and Dawn Sutcliffe, close friends of Pam and Mick, played by Larry Lamb.
Motherland star Anna Maxwell Martin is a new addition to the cast, but it has not yet been revealed what role she will be playing.
As well as filming the final episode, writers and stars James and Ruth Jones have also been recording a behind-the-scenes special to mark the sitcom’s final appearance.
Cameras followed them as they mingled with fans, posing for more than 100 selfies, capturing the interactions between the cast and their adoring audience, who began arriving at Barry Island last Monday.
Ruth was spotted sporting her character’s iconic studded leather vest and knee-high boots as she filmed scenes for the highly-anticipated Christmas special.

Loose Woman star Joanna was also seen being followed by a production crew as she greeted fans. Sources on the set say the footage will be used to make a documentary about the much-loved comedy series, which premiered on BBC Three in 2007.
One said: “When the cameras filming Gavin and Stacey stopped rolling, other cameras were brought in to film what was going on behind the scenes. There was a lot of beautiful footage for the show – it’s been really special for viewers.”
‘James is astute and realises that there is a wonderful story to tell about how it was made and what happens behind the scenes.’
Speaking to fans, James said: “It’s overwhelming that this is the last time we’re going to be here on the island. It’s wonderful. It’s the home of the show. It’s the centre of everything, really, and every moment of it makes you think: ‘God, I remember when we were here.'”
On the first day of filming, the cast shared a photo of a clapperboard with the caption: “Filming started today on the final episode of Gavin & Stacey. We’re actually kind of excited.”
