Shots were fired at Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign office in Tempe, Arizona.
Police announced Tuesday that they received a call Monday from staff members at the Democratic National Committee campaign office who reported finding what appeared to be gunshots through the front windows.
It was the second such shooting in as many weeks, police said, after the front windows were hit by gunfire from either a BB gun or a pellet gun shortly after midnight on Sept. 16.
“There was no one inside the office overnight, but this raises concerns for the safety of those who work in that building as well as those nearby,” said Sgt. Ryan Cook, public information officer.
Officers are now investigating all possible motives for the shooting and are working to analyze the evidence collected so far, the Tempe Police Department said.

The shooting is being investigated as a property crime because no one was inside the building at the time.
But police are also implementing additional measures to ensure the safety of Democratic workers and those in the nearby area, as footage from local news stations showed two bullet holes in a door and two more in the windows of the office.
“We are grateful to the Tempe Police for arriving quickly on the scene, and we are fortunate that no one was present or injured,” said Sean McEnerney, coordinated campaign manager for the Arizona Democratic Party.
Staff reported finding what appeared to be gunfire through the front windows of the campaign office.
Tempe police are working to analyze the evidence collected so far and are investigating all possible motives for the attack.
The shooting comes just days before the vice president is expected to make a campaign stop in the key state.
