Serena Williams tried to fit back into her Valentino denim skirt as she continued to share her postpartum fitness journey with her fans.
Just two months after failing to pull off the chic jean skirt, the tennis superstar, 42, tried again (for her third time) in a new Instagram video shared to her page on Monday.
“Okay, people, the jean skirt is back…
The mother of two wore a light pink jumpsuit for the video and told her fans: “I haven’t tried it on since the last time. So let’s see what happens here. Let’s pray. Don’t be negative if it doesn’t work.”
Serena proved she was one step closer to her weight loss goal as she was able to successfully put on the skirt this time around, although she still couldn’t zip it up.
Serena Williams, 42, tried to fit back into her Valentino denim skirt as she continued to share her postpartum fitness journey with fans.
The athlete was happy with her progress and told fans: “We don’t have such a big problem anymore, but we still have a little problem.”
“Who in the world wears these skirts?” she asked playfully.
“I might have to rewatch the video in a few weeks,” the star added, saying the skirt “is a little tight, I can’t breathe. I might have to do another video.”
Serena also thanked fans for accompanying her on the “long” and “difficult journey” and added: “We have made a lot of progress.”
Meanwhile, her fans and followers praised her figure and advised Serena to simply buy a new skirt.
“Throw away that skirt and buy a new one with a little more stretch because your body is perfect,” wrote one.
“The skirt is not the right shape, that’s not you. Buy a new skirt,” added another.
“I like your honesty about work and struggle. You don’t promote snap back culture,” another fan added.

She reached into her skirt in front of the mirror, getting her butt caught as she tried to pull it up.
Although Williams said she’s “been going to the gym a lot,” she doesn’t believe “the needle is changing.”
