Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes is close to completing a £1.5m move to ambitious Birmingham City.
The League One side made their move for the Queens Park Rangers striker on Monday evening and talks have accelerated for the 28-year-old who is now due to undergo a medical at lunchtime today.
Dykes suffered a nagging injury in the summer after a training camp injury forced him to miss the European Championships with Scotland.
He has been the subject of interest from teams such as Scotland’s Rangers, but the project being carried out at St Andrews has convinced him.

Birmingham’s American owners, including Tom Brady, are aiming for promotion to League One
Despite being relegated from the Championship, Birmingham’s American owners plan to return at the first opportunity and hope to follow Ipswich Town’s path of consecutive promotions.
The Blues signed former Liverpool defender Ben Davies from Rangers earlier this week and are looking to further strengthen before the window closes.
Dykes has made one appearance this season, coming on as a late substitute to score the equalising goal in a 2–2 draw with Sheffield United.
