Caroline Wozniacki sent a message to Brooks Koepka’s wife after Rory McIlroy’s explosive divorce from Erica Stoll became public this week.
McIlroy filed divorce papers shortly before the PGA Championship and court records show he filed a “petition for dissolution of marriage” on Monday.
The former couple met in 2012, when Stoll was working for the PGA of America in the Ryder Cup, and began dating in 2015. They later married in 2017.
They have a daughter together, Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, who was born in 2020.
Koepka took to social media to express his admiration for his wife, Jena Sims, just as news broke about McIlroy’s shock and Wozniacki left a comment.

McIlroy filed divorce papers just days before the PGA Championship in Kentucky.
Caroline Wozniacki and McIlroy announced their engagement in 2013 but later broke up
Wozniacki and McIlroy began dating in 2011 and announced their engagement in 2013. However, despite making wedding plans just months before the expected ceremony, McIlroy called off their relationship in a phone call that lasted a few minutes.
Koepka and Wozniacki are friends and the tennis ace supported him at last year’s Masters accompanied by her husband, former NBA player David Lee. Wozniacki and Lee married in 2019 and have since welcomed two children.
Praising his wife’s debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Koepka wrote on Instagram: ‘I’m so proud of you. It’s amazing to see what hard work can do! I love you!’
Shortly after, Wozniacki wrote a comment saying ‘Hot Mom’ with fire emojis.
McIlroy and Wozniacki’s split came shortly after they sent out invitations to their wedding. McIlroy had insisted that their split was mutual and amicable, but Wozniacki later revealed that the relationship was called off over the phone.

McIlroy is seeking equal parenting time with the daughter he shares with Stoll. The divorce papers describe her marriage as “irretrievably broken.”
Sources have suggested that McIlroy’s decision to divorce his wife came out of the blue. He is said to have filed the documents a day after being photographed wearing her wedding ring.
The 35-year-old was photographed wearing the sash on Sunday while hoisting the Wells Fargo Championship trophy, but requested the split just 24 hours later in Florida.
McIlroy still had his wedding ring on his finger Sunday afternoon at Quail Hollow.
McIlroy is also following in the footsteps of fellow divorced golfer Tiger Woods by hiring renowned attorney Thomas Sasser to file his divorce papers.
Sasser represented the all-time great Woods when his wife divorced him in 2010.
