Famed conservationist Robert Irwin has revealed an intimate memory of his late father, ‘crocodile hunter’ Steve Irwin.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Robert, 20, shared a home video of his famous father exploring Australia’s Irwin Zoo on a motorcycle.

A very young Robert also appeared in the clips, who was seen riding as a passenger in his father’s Honda 100.

“Some of my first and fondest memories were on that bike,” Robert said in the video he called “The Story of Dad’s Motorcycle.”

He also revealed that after the sudden death of his father in 2006, the motorcycle remained unused for a long time.

But Robert added that today he uses the Honda to make the same rounds that his father did twenty years ago.

In the clip he can be seen running through the zoo on a motorcycle.

“It brings back a lot of memories,” Robert said.

‘Every time I get on that bike and do the same route around Australia Zoo that he did, it means a lot to this piece of machinery that he loved and used every day.

Robert also included a photo of his sister Bindi sharing the seat of the motorcycle with her brother while Steve drives.

“I have so many connections with Dad that still exist to this day that I can continue his legacy in so many different ways,” Robert said, clearly moved.

He also said he uses the Honda to wave to crowds at the zoo’s main crocodile exhibit, the ‘Crocoseum,’ just like his father did.

Robert, 20, who appears on the cover of the latest issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly, said on Thursday he thinks about his late father Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin every day and often wishes he could ask him for advice.

“Not a day goes by that I don’t think, ‘I wonder what I’d ask Dad if he were here.’ There are so many things I wish I could ask him on so many levels,” she said in the cover story.
