The last photograph of Richard Simmons was revealed by his staff that he had planned to share with his fans before his shocking passing at the age of 76 a week earlier on July 13.
The fitness guru was found dead in his Los Angeles home after falling in the bathroom the night before. A police investigation has since been launched into his final hours and the cause of his death has yet to be revealed to the public.
This week, he was laid to rest and his grave was lined with pink roses in exclusive images obtained by DailyMail.com.
His staff took to X on Saturday to share the latest photo of Simmons, which showed the star with gray hair and wearing an orange NASA uniform.
‘From Richard’s staff: Hi everyone, Richard worked really hard on his posts for you,’ they began.
‘I had a lot of ideas and worked ahead… going back to each one, making changes until it was exactly how I wanted it before publishing it.’

Her staff took to X on Saturday to share the latest photo of Simmons, which showed the star with gray hair and holding a small smile on her face.
His staff continued: “As you know, on weekends, he would simply share a photo with a caption. He would always choose his photos and write his captions for the upcoming weekend before Friday.”
“We have the post that Richard was planning to share with you last Sunday. We thought you might like to see it.”
In the final section of the post about X, the fitness guru’s staff added: “Here’s the post Richard had planned for you for Sunday, July 14, 2024.”
Richard could be seen posing with greying hair while wearing a vibrant orange NASA uniform and standing in front of a colourful wall.
The caption I had planned to put alongside the photo was: “Let me take you to the moon so we can gaze at the stars. Love, Richard.”
