Red Wiggle Caterina Mete has spoken openly about her IVF journey.
Fans of the 43-year-old child artist were overjoyed when she took to social media in February to announce that she was expecting identical baby girls.
And now Caterina, who is single, has told why she decided to share intimate details of her pregnancy.
Appearing in the something to talk about On Saturday’s podcast, the dancer and artist was asked why she decided to reveal that she used an anonymous donor.
“I’m a pretty open and honest person,” Carterina explained during the podcast.

She continued: ‘So it was something I was never ashamed of. I was very happy to tell people how I did it and, to be honest, you realize that a lot of people have done it this way too.”
Caterina added that there were times when she had problems with the process.
‘It was difficult. You [have] Moments when you cry. You say, I don’t have a partner, it’s just me, how am I going to do it? she said.
And then you say, “Stop.” Do it. What are you waiting for? I am older. I can’t wait any longer because unfortunately that’s how the body is.’
Appearing on the Something to Talk About podcast on Saturday, the dancer and artist was said to be an open and honest person and had nothing to be ashamed of.

In an emotional admission, Caterina opened up about how she suffered a miscarriage during a previous pregnancy after receiving IVF treatment.
“It was hard to deal with, but it’s surprising how many women go through it and obviously don’t like to talk about it because it’s so hard and horrible,” she said.
After being left with only one embryo, Caterina underwent treatment again and is now expecting twins.
It comes after Caterina took to Instagram in February to announce the happy news she was expecting, telling her fans she “couldn’t wait to be a mother.”
In the clip, a radiant Caterina debuted her belly dressed in her red underwear.

‘Hello everyone. I have some exciting news to share with all of you. I’m pregnant with twins!’ smiled the professional dancer, holding up two child-sized Red Wiggle costumes.
‘I must wait later this year, but I wanted to share this news with you now as I will be seeing many of you at the upcoming Wiggles shows… and as you can see, my daughters are already starting. “To make an appearance,” she joked, cradling her burgeoning belly.
Reflecting on her exciting news in a press release, Caterina said: ‘Becoming a mother has always been a dream of mine. “I feel immensely blessed to be able to share that I am expecting two beautiful little miracles.”
Caterina has been part of the Wiggles show for two decades, originally joining the team as a dancer before taking on roles as wardrobe manager, dance captain and choreographer.
‘This journey has been challenging, but filled with so much love and support. “I am immensely grateful for the incredible team at my fertility clinic and the technology that has made it possible.”
Caterina went on to say that she can’t wait to meet her loved ones and start this new chapter of her life.
She concluded by thanking her Wiggles colleagues for their “unwavering support” during her pregnancy.
