Rachel Riley had her ‘Marilyn moment’ when the wind caught her by surprise as she left the Countdown studio.

The 38-year-old presenter was in for a surprise as she left the show’s studios in Manchester on Wednesday.

Rachel was caught by a gust of wind as she stepped outside, her short blonde locks flying across her face.

When she was photographed, she was wearing a tight red halterneck dress, paired with a cream-colored cardigan.

Rachel completed her look with a pair of chunky gold sandals and huge hoop earrings, as well as an elegant bracelet.

The incident occurred as he left the Countdown studio in Manchester on Wednesday.

The TV personality came under fire earlier this year for her “disgraceful” and “pathetic” apology after being accused of “racism” and “Islamophobia” over her tweet about the Sydney shopping centre massacre.

She then faced calls for her to be sacked from Channel 4 amid allegations she appeared to falsely compare Saturday’s horrific attack in Australia to Islamist terrorism.

The bloody attack was carried out by English teacher Joel Cauchi, 40, from Queensland, who police said suffered from mental health problems. Authorities confirmed it was not linked to terrorism.

In his now-deleted tweet, Riley appeared to link the violence, in which six people were killed before Cauchi was shot dead by police, to the “globalised Infitada” movement, before later insisting his comments had been “misinterpreted”.

“Globalise the Intifada” is a term often used by pro-Palestinian activists that calls for aggressive resistance against Israel and those who support the country, and has been linked to widespread demonstrations and protests in London.

Riley, who is Jewish and has been outspoken in her support for Israel amid the war in Gaza, has since posted a obsequious apology on X in which she said she was “sorry” if her message had been “misinterpreted.”

But she faced a furious backlash on social media for her “pathetic defence” of the post, with one person declaring: “It’s getting embarrassing at this point. @channel4 sack this woman and put her out of her misery please.”

“Just to clarify, my intention with this tweet was not to say that this attack was caused by any idea or to link it to Islamic extremism,” the presenter wrote.

Her apology came after sparking massive outrage on X and being accused of writing a racist statement about Sydney’s stabbing.

In the now-deleted tweet, Riley wrote: ‘For 6 months now, people have proudly taken to the streets calling for the ‘Intifada Revolution.’
