Rachel McAdams is considering a role in Sam Raimi’s upcoming horror thriller Send Help, after the pair collaborated on Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness in 2022.

The Notebook actress, who made her Broadway debut earlier this year, is only in the negotiation stage and has not officially taken on a role in the film, sources said. Deadline on Saturday.

Raimi will not only step behind the camera to direct the film, but will also produce the project.

Send Help is expected to be released in theaters, although a release date has not yet been revealed.

According to Deadline, the upcoming film has been described as a “two-part horror thriller set on an island” and is “somewhere between Rob Reiner’s Stephen King adaptation Misery and Robert Zemeckis’ classic Castaway.”

Sam is no stranger to the horror thriller genre and directed films such as The Evil Dead (1981) and two sequels.

In 1992, he directed the horror comedy called Army Of Darkness and also worked on Drag Me To Hell in 2009.

Raimi also directed Spider-Man (2002) and its two sequels, primarily starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco.

And in 2022, the filmmaker returned to the superhero universe and directed the sequel Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

McAdams, 45, notably reprized the role of Dr. Christine Palmer, which she had played in the first Doctor Strange film (2016).

Rachel previously spoke about working with Raimi and told him Collider In a previous interview, ‘I love Sam very much. “He is a great professional, but also very humble and collaborative.”
